Haven't been to all of the clubs on this list, but I can say that K5 Relax in Prague is an outstanding place to go. I wrote a lengthy report about this place last September on the Prague board. For BsAs regulars, I would say it is kind of like Blacks, except that it also serves food, has a spa on premises, and rents out nice rooms on premises as well. An incredible place. By way of example, when I asked about "girls drinks" at K5, one of the managers told me "We don't sell 'ripoff' drinks here. The prices are the same as for the customers."

Had a wonderful few nights in that place, recommend it to my Buenos Aires friends without recommendation.

An omission from the Top Ten list is Babylon (branches in Vienna and Salzburg). Kind of like a K5 but with higher prices.

Still, on a Value For Money basis, I think Black kicks ass.

Quick Update

I went to Bonnfemme the other day to scope it out. I was really not interested in a session at that moment but I figured I would fly a recon mission. I did have an interest in seeing one of the chicas I saw on the Bonnfemme website, Fiorema I believe.

It was a little troublesome getting up to the second floor, not nearly as easy as it is going to Sante Fe 1707, but I finally made it up. The street was very noisy and the communicating through the loadspeaker in my limited Spanish added to the difficulty. Upon entry, the madam led me to a room to sit and she would bring in the chicas. There were 3. I could recognize them all from the website. Not bad. Oh, very important, the madam told me that it was 200 pesos for the hour, before I viewed the girls. I told her that many of my friends have come there before and none have paid 200 pesos, more like 100 or even 150. She told me “no, this is the price”. She also offered me a drink, but I told her to wait a while on that, to see if I was staying. After I saw the three girls, and no Fiorema, I inquired about her. She said, one moment. She came back in and told me that Fiorema was 150 pesos for 45 minutes. I don’t understand why Fiorema had special pricing and times. Fiorema comes in and I see her. Well, the moon the stars and the entire cosmos must have aligned just perfectly for her photo session, because even though it was her, I could tell, it was still like a different person. Not bad, but not for me.

I tell the madam I am not interested in any chicas now, maybe tomorrow. I had in my mind that I was going to tip her 10 pesos for the cheap thrill of the viewing. She tells me that it is 20 pesos to see all the girls. We begin bickering over ten pesos. I realize what I´m doing and that she needs the ten peso discrepancy much more than I do, so I give her the 20 pesos and I´m out, thinking I will not be back.

I have been to Sante Fe 1707 three or four times now, all with a 100% contento rating. All times with different, good looking chicas, all for ½ hour at 60 pesos with a 20 pesos BBBJ enhancement. I simply can not understand how Bonnefemme is still open, being only a few blocks from Sante Fe 1707. The price structure, in comparison is whack. IMHO, Sante Fe 1707 is eating Bonnfemme´s lunch. Unless you are interested in a particular chica on Bonnfemme´s website, save your time and some money and go to 1707. Of my entire trip, I can not figure out what is the better value, the Beef de Lomo at 18 pesos, or 30 minutes at Sante Fe 1707 for 60 pesos. I guess I´ll just continue to ponder that one over, as I sample each of them every day, until I come up with a good awnser to that question. Over and Out. Adios Amigos.

Casting my vote in the "best clubs of the world" election

Even though this is the Buenos Aires section, just because the subject has come up and just for the sake of comparison I want to follow up on uncle Otto's recommendation of K-5 in Prague. I just returned from a visit and I must say that K-5 was probably the best brothel I have ever been to. Just imagine this: You enter and are greeted at the door by one of the lovelies, given an electronic chip to use as currency, and taken on a tour. If you decide to come in , then you can head for the sauna or the steam room, or directly take a seat at a table in the bar-restaurant. Shortly after sitting at a table, one of the managers approaches you and asks about your preferences. I nearly colapsed when she pulled out an LCD touchscreen computer neatly mounted under my table! She shows you who is available, and gives dead-on descriptions of the girls' demeanors without trying to push anyone on you. Then if you like a particular girl she will ask her to dance on the stage. If you like what you see, then she discretly invites her over to join you for a drink (normal club prices, not a rip-off). The girls were EXACTLY as described by the lady manager. My experience over three visits ranged from a blonde bombshell who essentially assaulted me (yummmm.....), climbed on top, and nearly killed me, to a very sensual brunette (the most sensual working lady I have ever met) who kissed me all over and made LOVE to me for the whole hour, after spending nearly an hour with me in the bar. Totally out of this world... Price: about $180 USD for several hours of "hanging out" among 30-40 knock out girls, a few drinks, and one hour of sex on premise.

On my way back to the hotel one time, my taxi driver told me that K-5 is the second best in Europe, and Babylon in Vienna is probably #1. I've never been there, but suspect that their prices are higher without any appreciable diffrence in the quality of the girls, and hence my vote still goes to K-5!

Recent visits to Sante Fe 1707 and Bris Institute

Went to Sante Fe on Wednesday and again on Saturday last week. On Wednesday saw Pamela, nice fun, Saturday did Paola, hot little 21 yo likes anal ( AR50 upcharge). I like this place, reminded me a bit of Park118 in Amsterdam as they are careful that 2 clients never see each other. The comment of Top Cat pinched my interest in reading the article. It is too long to translate, so I will give you a basic abstract and let you know about some info we didn't posted in the board.

- The article focuses mainly on European hobbyists than on American counterparts, and the main interviews revolve around services offered to hotel guests (no boliches or private apartments mentioned), so most of the activities reported in this forum are not covered in the article. Overal, I believe that the article is poor as an overview of BA's P4P for tourists.

- Most of the article is built around interviews to chicas. Some are funny, as the marketing-wise chica who asked an artistic photographer to take her pictures of her in B&W and send them to the Centro Cultural Recoleta for a short review season, which let her gain many foreign customers.

Thanks Andres for summarizing TXT. Strangely, they didn't mentioned the net as main vehicle for information among sex tourists, so this board activities did not get mentioned in the article. Hi amigos. Long time no visit to BA Board. El Aleman. I just saw your comments about the FKK clubs. I went to one a few weeks ago. Granted, it was the most expensive FKK club in Germany (from what a German dude told me). I wasn't too impressed. I probably need to visit Frankfurt before I can rule them out.

I still have yet to find a city better than Buenos Aires when it comes to the "all of the above category". Good restaurants, safe, cheap taxis, selection of girls, etc. Rio is easier though to find action 24/7 and you have the great beaches in Ipanema during the day to spend with your novias.

I've been to a couple places on that guy's top lists. I would add a few clubs to the best places list that I didn't see on his.

Help Disco - Rio de Janerio: This is a must visit for anyone that is in Brazil. I always have had extremely good luck here. On a busy night there are hundreds of girls in here. Something for everyone here. All the girls are on the program.

Oceano - Lugano, Switzerland: The quality of girls here is very good. I'm quite picky and there were many girls that were hot here. On one night I saw 3 girls here and there were at least 5 more in the room that were hot. You have the best of both worlds since many of the girls here are from Brazil, South America, Czech Republic, Hungary, Russia, Italy.

I'm hitting K5 in May and I'll hit several places in Europe this year so I hope K5 lives up to it's reputation. I trust Otto's judgement.

Solid Gold Report

Last Sunday night in BA. I stopped in Blacks as my first stop of the evening and there was not much doing for me there so I moved on to Madahos. Still yet again, not much going on in the chica department for me personally. I leave Madahos and decide to stop into Solid Gold. At this point it's about 2, 2-30, and Solid Gold is busting out. Lots of chicas, all of them dancing, a good energy, lot's of customers also, which doesn't normally matter to me other than the fact that, the girls were working harder to earn by dancing and flirting, instead of just standing around. I was pleasantly surprised by all the activity; let's just say that. I have been in this club a few times but I never took a chica out of here because I never saw anyone I was real interested in. I also have felt that the over all quality has been lower than the other clubs, but on this night there are a few bonafide lookers.

I call over a hot little blonde, sorry I can’t remember her name at the moment, and we go upstairs to the lounge. I start buying myself some drinks and the chica and we're just chilling out having a grand old time. BTW, very reasonable drink prices here. My Scotch drinks were only 30 pesos. 85 in Blacks, 45 in Madahos to give you a comparison. I think the chicas drinks were 25. So after about an hour of fun, games and petting I decide I'm ready and I cut a deal with my chica. We end up at 150 pesos, from a starting point of 200, which I would have paid, because she was a hot chick. Well, here's where it takes a wrong turn, and maybe somebody who knows the ropes of this place
can respond about it, to help out the other guys who will invariably go here. The chica insists on me paying her up front, now in the club, all in the bar tab. I tell her, not no, hell no. We can't come to terms on the subject and she leaves me and goes downstairs.

At this point I have at least an hour invested with this chick, a few drinks for her, like 4 for me, on a night that’s slow everywhere else, and I want to salvage this situation. I call over the waitress, and the waitress insists that it is the policy of the club that the chicas fee gets paid to the bar in advance of you leaving with her. Now I have the chica telling me this and even the waitress, the supposed representative of the bar. I'm pretty confident I would of heard about this policy from Jackson, after all I have been here with him, or someone else, but what can I do at this point. I tell her to call the chica back. After a little while, I settle my bar tab including her 150 pesos right in front of her and I even catch her getting paid 100 pesos back from the waitress. I guess Solid Gold is getting a cut. What do I care though? My expense is 150 pesos and I don't care how they cut it up, it's just interesting.

Every thing is back to fine and dandy with me and the chica. I really do like her; we're having a good time. We fool around all the way to the hotel; btw, BBBJ has
been agreed upon at the club. We get to my hotel, and it's still great, it's a bargain I'm thinking, the chica is hot. Well all of a sudden, time becomes an issue and she tells me that the fee was for only 1 hour. I'm very sure we have not been in my hotel an hour so we really should not even be talking about this, especially in the middle of some pretty good sex and 4 play, which is a mood kill. Now I'm getting pretty frustrated, and I'm just going to tell you the bottom line here. If you happen to pick, unluckily, a douche bag chica, there isn’t anything your going to be able to do about it to change the situation. A leopard just isn’t going to change her spots. I'm going to attribute this chicas problem to her age, approximately 21, and stupidity.

Should I have checked the clock upon entering my room, so that I'd be armed with that information should it come up? I have been with so many girls that have stayed hours and hours and time was never an issue, so I never even consult the clock. So anyway, I do like the chica and I'm ok with shelling out more dough if that's what it takes, I'm not trying to get something for nothing, the chica needs to earn. I give her 70US for another hour. Another issue is overcome; I think I've been a very decent guy here so far. Back to sex, she's giving me a bj and I'm like, is that a condom in her mouth I'm feeling? Now BBBJ had already been discussed in the club and in fact she had blown me already for 20 minutes at least before I gave her the second 70 bucks without the condom, why now with the condom? I blow my lid. I grab her purse, I take my 70us back and kick that little douche bag out of my hotel. That is why I say, when you unfortunately run into a chica like this there is no salvaging it, it isn't you, it isn't the money, it's the problem chica. The whole time she was dressing I just told her how stupid she was for trying to get over on me.

The fact is, I really liked her sexually and appearance wise, and I would of definitely kept her around on a semi-regular basis and seen her again. She could of made so much more money off of me. I was willing and able. That's why I attribute much of her problems to her inexperience. I don't think a more experienced chica would of let an opportunity to develop a good situation get away so stupidly.

I'm sorry for the negative post but this is the reality of what we sometimes run into and I think the main purpose of this board is to share useful information. We need to post the bad and good so maybe others could gain some knowledge. If anyone can comment on the Solid Gold, pre pay situation, it would be beneficial. I wasn't ready to start the posting but since this post from speculator appeared re: Solid Gold I feel compelled to start in with the first topic

Boliche Businses models.

My profession is creating new businesses, so I thought I would applying my knowledge of various business models to the boliches and houses in Buenose Aires. If anyone wishes to contribute to this discussion and has a particular expertise in the subject (or not) feel free to add to my comments.

In general you have to analyze the various boliches according to their particular nature of the business, in this case the PFP business.

You have a business - basically a bar- which sells beverages and sometimes food, with the sales and marketing staff, the chicas, leaving the premises every so often (actually in high end Recoleta clubs only 50% of the staff leaves the premisies).

This is a problematic situation for the management and various business face the challenge in different way, some with vertical integration - they own the transitorio where the staff goes and collect a fee (Evidia and Nuevo Estilo Boliche)
or create a high barrier of entry for the customer to leaves (Blacks), with expensive bar fine fees and high service fees to the sales staff (providers) to leave the premises.

Other factors go into the business model, such as the design of the individual establishment - floor layout, amenities, and customer service, which includes the user friendly nature of the support staff - bartenders, doormen, mangers, etc.

IMHO Solid Gold has the worst business model of the lot, and to understand the business model of the establishment is to understand as a customer what to expect from a particular business and how to operate within the model to best achieve your goals.

In Solid Gold the goal it to keep the customer on premise as much as possible to continual feed the main income stream - selling drinks.

When you enter they attempt to charge a service fee of 20 pesos for a drink. If that fails, and in most case the returning customers just walks in - they follow you to the bar and ask you to purchase a drink. On a customer service level Solid Gold gets failing grades. The bartender and waitresses are extremely pushy and will try to jack up the prices for drinks at every oppotunity.

From a design layout the club is a mess, with chairs lined up facing the dance floor, thus making it difficult to create interactions with the service providers.
Basically Sold Gold doesn't want you to leave with a service provider but stay and buy drink after drink.

The dancers are not generally allowed to leave the club. They act as lures to keep the customers drinking. If you call one over to your table instantly a waitresses is at your side, asking you to buy two drinks.

In addition who is and who isn't a waitress is not clear although in general the waitresses are the prettiest chicas. In some cases I've called a waitresses over to my table and bought her a drink, served from another waitresses, only to realize that I have bought a drink from a member of the support staff who is not permitted to leave.

Only a small percentage of the staff can leave and they earn their living primarily from selling drinks. Now it turns out that Solid Gold is experimenting with vertical integration, gaining a commission from any staff member who does leave. This is a new development but indicates a business trying ways to add to their primary income stream - the selling of drinks.

My advice as a customer is not to buy any drinks until everything is ABSOLUTELY clear with the provider. This boliche is very on premises sales orientated and one should be particularly cautious. They have a clear plan - provide various false leads (lures) to keep the customer interested but not fully satisfied. A customer out the door is a customer lost.

Solid Gold has a reputation of a trap. Girls used to make money from patrons' drinks. That's why you won't find many good reports in this board from mongers who took a SG chick.

Hello Everyone,

I have been a lurker on this board for a while and I have read many reports on Peru, BA, and Brazil.

I am thinking about a three way trip from San Diego to Lima (3 days) then to BA (5 days) then on home after one more day in Lima.

I have been to Thailand, Amsterdamn, and of course- TJ! My dilemena, which I was hoping experienced members on this board could help me with:

Is this schedule too aggressive? Also, will I be disappointed leaving out Rio? The whole flight is only going to cost about 1K. From what I can gather, BA is about equal to Rio and Lima might be a little disappointing looker-wise.

The other benefits are not having to deal with a Brazil visa and maybe being able to hook-up with some of you in BA.

Thoughts? The BA portion will probably be 3/23-3/28. Any of you around then?

Outside of "W" in Sao Paulo, paying up front never works. It is best to cut your losses and move on to a girl who wants to be with you for you, not for how much she can get from your wallet in the shortest amount of time.

I agree with you totally. I almost never pay up front, and I would advise all to not pay upfont. But you have to use your best judgement sometimes. I paid upfront twice in 12 days, one didn't work out in the end, although I enjoyed my first hour, the other was the highlight of my trip so far. But I'm definetely down with cutting your losses whenever possible and that is what I did.

The main thing I have learned from only 3 BA tours and from the esteemed masters on this board is that a full week is a minimum must-do to really enjoy the place. If you can put in 8 days, more power to you!

It only takes one good one right?

It was a rainy night in BA a few nights ago. I begin by working my usual rotation. I smooth into Blacks but it is so hot in there due to the humidity and lack of quality A/C, coupled with the fact not much hit’s me in the groin, I blow out and hit Madahos. Again, nothing really excites me in Madahos, so maybe I have been with to many chicas in to short a period of time and I probably just need the night off. It’s about 2:20 and I’m hungry so I figure I’ll see if I can still get something to eat. I leave Madahos and head to restaurant row. I continue on in my search and I stumble upon Affaire. I’ve been here before but never did much. They try and hit me with the 25-peso cover charge, and I remind him that when I was here the other night with Jefe, there was no cover. Right this way sir.

I walk into Affaire and right away I see 30 girls. 20 below average, 8 above average, and 2 stunners. Within 3 minutes one of the stunners is all over me. Kissing me, licking me and basically treating me like I ought to be treated. I tell her to go dance a little so I can check her out some more. She goes up on stage for a while. She is a beauty. She’s wearing a long white dress, and high high heels, that are laced up to the knee. She returns and I order some drinks. She starts me off at 250 pesos, and I give her a good laugh in return. I'm a great fan of Affaire Recoleta. On my last visit I always ended up there around 3am after crusing around Recoleta, Flores and downtown.

In 21 days in BA I must have left with about six chicas there and only had one bad experience, which really wasn't that bad.

Dear Members,

I have bought a "Learn Spanish in Your Car" CD set to see if I can learn some Spanish speaking basics for my trip to BA. I am not a language wiz by any means. This should be evident in my posts! =)

The way I see it, I spent about 1.5 hours a day (5 weekdays) in my car and about 4 weeks before my trip to listen to the CDs. This is about 30 hours of listening and practicing Spanish. I can't be the first to try this, any experience doing this by anyone here?

I'm pretty good at sticking to things and I'll come back on here after my trip write the reports including how this approach helped this nuevos (if at all) communicating with the chicas in BA.

Any input would be great!

You were the victim of some of my "drive by" posts earlier, and you responded in the spirit in which my post was intended....good natured kidding about your alma mater.....So this time I will play it straight. Let's just say you passed my initiation test.

I spoke almost no Spanish before my first trip to Latin America five years ago. I took a short course at a local college before leaving and bought a phrase book to help out in situations such as restaurants, transportation, hotels, shopping, etc (darn, no boliche Spanish in my guide book, a serious shortcoming).

To make a long story short, while this approach was helpful....immersion accelerates the learning curve. Two suggestions: follow up your in the car sessions by watching Spanish language channels, practicing with the waiters in Mexican restaurants, etc. while you are still stateside.

After you arrive in BA, find a chica you like and pay her to spend the weekend with you. You will enjoy great sex, and learn more Spanish than you ever imagined. My Spanish improved 10fold after such an experience. And the sex just got better and better as the weekend went along.....see previous posts for ideas about weekend jaunts to spas, estancias, the beach, the mountains, etc.

It's a great tool for learning a new language since you don't have pronuntiation challenges and your counterpart can understand your writting (something that in oral communication is harder to achieve). RE: Learning Spanish. Even though I had been to many Spanish-speaking countries many times I never had learned to speak Spanish, other than some basic words. I believe it was Saint that had recommended the Pimsleur Language Program (tapes or cd's) as the way he learnt. So I took a cue from him and looked into it. There are 3 levels, each consisting of about 15 tapes-30 lessons. I tried the 10-tape program out, which I purchased at B&K for $39, to see if I would really learn it. The ten-tape program is actually the first 18 lessons out of 30 from the full level 1. I would say that most days I worked on it an hour, and I was really learning. I was about to take the plunge and purchase the full level 1 set, approx $199, when a friend of mine suggested I try the library.

I did a search at my library and although they did not have it they could get it for me in a few days, which they did and I proceeded to dub them. I ended up going thru 23 of the 30 lessons before my last trip to BA. It was immensefully helpful. I could not even believe how much Spanish I had learned. I was actually having conversations with people, provided they were willing to go slow and work with me through trouble spots.

This experience completely re-invigorated my desire to learn more and next I'll be moving on to level 2 and 3. I have a friend that is going to Rio and he went and got the Brazilian Portuguese tapes and he is doing well with those as well. It's just a great way to learn. I hope this helps. No offense Andres.

About Arg. politics, actually the K. approach is working well for this country. Projected growth for this year is 5%, and the 'risky approach' to negotiating the external debt, is IMHO the right one. And now, microcentro update. The infamous DH's Maria must be enjoying a vacation or something as she's not at her workplace. Bah.
I can confirm that Approach on San Martin is a bad place. There are only 5-6 girl, of which only two are doable, but they're aggressive and won't leave the place. As to learning Spanish, I think the Pimsleur CD's are good for learning to hear/speak the language, but even the highest level (3), it is not very advanced. Most people seriously underestimate the time necessary to master a foreign language. My advice is to start early and keep at it. For me, it has been one of the most satisfying things I have ever done – and I mean that in all senses of the word. Also try to take lessons, private or group when traveling. Nothing beats the one-on-one experience, although immersion lessons are a very difficult way to start. But private lessons in BA can be arranged for 18-25 pesos an hour, a bargain. And you will meet new people and get some insight into the local customs. You can hook-up with fellow students and teachers. Yes, this is hit and miss, but definitely doable. It has changed my life . . .

BUENOS AIRES—In this predominantly Catholic nation, prostitution has long been considered a sin before God and a crime before the law.

But thousands of women who practise the world's oldest profession are now demanding it be treated as precisely that — a profession, just like any other.

They have formed the Association of Women Prostitutes of Argentina, known by its Spanish acronym AMMAR — the word amar means "to love" in Spanish — and are appealing for government recognition as an official union.

It would be the first sex workers' union in Latin America and one of a handful in the world.

The prostitutes' demand for equal labour rights, however, has sparked political opposition led by the Catholic Church.

And on the streets, the women have run up against Argentina's notoriously corrupt police, who demand a cut of the profits and who stand to lose if prostitution is decriminalized.

On Jan. 28, 33-year-old AMMAR leader Sandra Cabrera was found dead, with a bullet through the back of her neck, in the red-light district of Rosario, Argentina's second-largest city.

According to provincial Interior Minister Alberto Gianneschi, "there are suspicions of police involvement" in the murder of Cabrera, who in recent months had reported numerous death threats against herself and her 9-year-old daughter.

In September, Cabrera accused the provincial police of protecting illegal brothels, and harassing and extorting street prostitutes, which led to the dismissal of two officers in charge of the Department of Public Morality.

"The police used to pass by frequently, but that night they didn't pass by at all, as if they had freed the zone for crime," says Elena Reynaga, AMMAR's secretary-general.

"That's why we're totally certain it was them. Sandra fought a lot with the owners of the brothels in that area, and last year they actually beat her.

"What they wanted was to drive out the girls at the corner because evidently this went against their business.

"And Sandra defended to the death that corner with her compañeras."

Two other prostitutes belonging to AMMAR were killed in suspicious circumstances last year, although neither had the stature of Cabrera, who ran the organization in the province and was a public figure in Rosario.

Since being founded nine years ago, AMMAR has signed up some 1,700 members nationwide, making it one of the world's largest organizations of prostitutes, according to Ana Lopes, who heads the London-based International Union of Sex Workers.

AMMAR already operates as an unofficial union under the auspices of the CTA, Argentina's second-largest union confederation and arguably its most powerful.

Members of AMMAR dedicate much of their time to educating other prostitutes about HIV/AIDS prevention, as well as about labour and legal rights. They hand out free condoms, offer grade school and high school equivalency courses, and distribute 200 monthly bags of basic foodstuffs donated by the government to those prostitutes living in poverty.

But the organization's most recognized achievement has been reducing police persecution. Staging public protests and lobbying local legislatures, AMMAR has helped pressure authorities into stopping the police from arresting street prostitutes in three cities and one province.

Still, in most of Argentina, prostitutes must choose between paying bribes to corrupt police or being thrown in jail — or worse — a reality that has changed little in decades.

Technically, prostitution is not illegal in Argentina, but most provinces have laws on the books that allow the police to arrest prostitutes for causing "scandal in the public thoroughfare."

On the other hand, pimping is illegal, but brothel owners are rarely taken to jail. Instead, they often form part of a shady business alliance with the police, who also collect kickbacks from the prostitutes in the street.

Nearly all AMMAR members work on the street, being neither the high-priced prostitutes who frequent five-star hotels, nor those employed in brothels.

AMMAR members say many women who work in brothels do so because they are provided protection from the police, who negotiate directly with the owners, and from the dangers of the street.

The brothels, which are illegal but tolerated by authorities, are notorious for their oppressive conditions and for being centres of child prostitution.

"The police should be out using the penal code to fight these crimes," says Elisa Carca, a former senator from Buenos Aires province who presented a bill that would decriminalize street prostitution.

"But not only are they not doing this, they end up persecuting the real victims, the street prostitutes, and forcing them to negotiate for money."

AMMAR leaders say a government-recognized union would allow them to more effectively push for decriminalization while giving them the legal standing to file formal complaints of child prostitution and other abuses. They also talk of replacing sordid brothels with prostitute co-operatives.

More than 90 per cent of Argentines are nominally Catholic, and while the Church's power has gradually waned in recent decades, it still wields considerable influence among the nation's political elite.

"Prostitution is a social blight," says Ana Maria Molina Gowland, who heads the women's commission at the archdioceses in Buenos Aires province.

"Decriminalizing it is only going to result in worse evils ... allowing public morals to relax and prostitution to increase. We have to look for other solutions that provide alternatives for these women."

The idea of forming a union also has its detractors among some prostitutes, including several dozen in Buenos Aires who left AMMAR to form their own organization because they were opposed to unionizing.

"The purpose of the union is to help maintain its workers in their jobs," says Eida, 51, one of the leaders of the splinter group.

"But we want to reverse this situation. We want to help each other find a way out of prostitution, by getting trained in other fields, getting jobs, getting schooling.

"More than 90 per cent of us want to leave prostitution because the stigma that it leaves with you stays until you die. It is a means of survival, not a job."

The organization has organized a sewing project for 24 prostitutes that is being financed by the city government in hopes of launching a small co-operative that would produce and sell children's clothes.

AMMAR leaders agree that the ultimate goal of organizing is to create the conditions so that no woman is forced into prostitution. But reaching an attractive alternative either within prostitution or in other occupations is no small task in Argentina, which is still suffering the after-effects of the deepest depression in its history.

In Plaza Once, a grungy park in front of a train station in the heart of the Buenos Aires garment district, Elsa Caballero sits on a cement bench waiting for potential clients.

With her graying light brown hair and modest outfit of black pants and blue sweater, one would hardly guess her profession.

Miriam, a friend in her 50s whose denim mini-skirt reveals pale legs marked with varicose veins, makes laps around the park, but seems to attract only jibes from a group of men sharing a cut-off box of wine.

Another friend, younger and thinner, accompanies her on these laps, apparently with no better luck.

Caballero says the police no longer arrest her, thanks in large part to AMMAR's lobbying. But since the economy collapsed, there is more competition and less work than ever before.

"AMMAR was born so that nobody has to do this job," says Jorgelina Sosa, 34, who heads AMMAR in the city of Buenos Aires.

"We aren't what is sold on television, that image of the sex worker who spends all day in a mini-skirt with her nails painted, a cigarette in her mouth and high heels.

"No, we're humans, we're people, we're women, we have the same rights as any other woman and, moreover, most of us are mothers, and some grandmothers ....

"I would like a dignified job, to not be a sex worker any more, but it's not so easy."

Here are two experiences I don’t wish on anybody.

Kamila on Platynum. Unlike the rest of the independent girls that I called, she didn’t give me a warm welcome when I called. Got her price of 100p per hour. She has an apartment on Carlos Pellegrini about two blocks from Excedra. When I turned up, she somewhat resembled the girl in the picture but far less attractive, even more than the usual drop-off from the internet pictures. I just wanted to respond to some of you. I do really like Maria and I think she is one of the sweetest, most genuine people I've ever met. Bonnefemme is an upscale apartment around the 2000 block of Santa Fe (since they don't post their address, I thought I would maintain their secrecy). But call them and they will give you the info after they give you the rundown (AR$150 for an hour, all included). The phone numbers are in the URL above. By the way, one of the "reception ladies" speaks excellent English.

I have been there 3 times. 2 times were with Barby. She was fun. A skinny little thing with fake boobs. Very playful and chatty. Those times were in the main apartment.

A few more odds and ends:

For those of you seeking generic V, don't waste your time with the big chains (Farmacity or Vantage). They will want a prescription. Try a little pharmacy. There's one, I think it's like Cordoba 892 or somewhere around there (look for a small pharmacy on the 800 or 900 block of Cordoba) and they will sell it without a prescription, no problem.

A tip for travelers: Most ATMs that I found won't give you more than about 500 pesos. One exception is the Banco Ciudad, on Calle Florida something like 3 or 4 (or 5) blocks south of Galerias Pacificos. It will be on your right. It gave me 890 pesos (and I'm not even sure what the max is).

Another tip: Girls usually get in around 11:30PM at the clubs. So, if you want the best selection, consider going right around midnight. Your odds will be better as the guys won't come until 12:30/1 at the earliest.

Also, definitely give Catto's a try. I went there early one night and was really blown away (a stark contrast to a few nights before, when we didn't see anything, maybe because we were too late.)

Two nights down and two to go on this short trip to the land of honeys. A short synopsis follows:

Night 1 started off at the Weekly AMA meeting which was well attended. I was pleased to finally get to meet Jackson, Exon, Otto, Andres as well as the rest of the crew. A nice steak in restaurant row in Recoleta was followed by a taxi chase to Estilo Nuevo where the girls looked nice but the harddicks were in abundance. Oh how the mighty fall, as we now went directly from Blacks to Affaire. Suddenly back in the real world, we got busy doing the R&D. Drinks, chica prices and salidas all fell back in line. Only thing missing was the 8’s and 9’s that exist in abundance in Blacks. But there were a few of chicas who passes the important criteria on being “doable”. But the respected leaders of our expedition felt better hunting was to be had and we made moves to leave for Madahos. One of my new discoveries on this trip was a nice massage place in Microcentro.

Everybody's tastes differ, but one thing I like to do in BsAs is get myself a massage every day. Usually, but not always, a finish of "relax" (hand relief) is included in the price. Ask if "relax" is included or not.

Personally I don't get relax on most occasions - I tend to save my limited amount of bullets for targets other than the ceiling.

One place I found was located in a high rise at Esmeralda 847, Apartment 12-H (use the intercom to have yourself buzzed in). This is between Cordoba and Paraguay. The telephone number can be found on the massages section of Platynum, which seems to be down at this moment or I would have retrieved it. If I remember correctly it is open from about 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.

When I arrived I was given the choice of three masseuses, choice of time, etc.... I chose Sol, a short, pleasant blonde, for 90 minutes at a price of 100 pesos. From a massage point of view, she was excellent, and had obviously had some professional training. I have to say I passed on the relax both times I was in this week, but did tip her an extra 20. Coming in the second time, her massage was even better, perhaps because she was motivated from knowing who she was dealing with.

Another option which I did not explore is having TWO massesuses work on you simultaneously. Probably worth an exploration if you like getting rubbed down as much as I do.

There are a lot of other massage places in town, this place represents just one of many. If somebody visits this one and knows someplace which is better, let us all know.

Many emailed asking about the differences. You really can't compare the two cities. BA is a world class city that has it all. Great restaurants, great nightlife, great girls, great shopping, cheap taxis, safe, clean, beautiful city. Cali isn't a beautiful city but the girls are gorgeous and the people are friendly.

- Interesting club activity. With the Azquenaga clubs now closed, many of the girls moved to Madaho. The migration in full last Friday with 40+ girls on duty. Been in Buenos Aires the last 10 days. I would like to offer the following reccomendations.

Lodging: Avoid the Marriot, needs major renovation. Avoid the Howard Johnson on Florida, pricey and noisy (thin walls). There are lots of hotels for $40-50 per night including tax and breakfast that are very nice. Recommend Bel-Air.

Rip offs: Be careful of the following things. Taxis gave me counterfeit money as change, and they are known to press a button if they suspect your a tourist which makes the meter go faster. Also I gave the driver a 20 peso bill and he claimed I gave him a two peso bill. Best if you have small change/exact change.

Girls: I went to Santa fe 1707. Is overall a good place. However, I stopped going in the evening because the hostess is a ***** with an attitude problem and need to support my fellow man who have been wronged.

The strip clubs in Recoleta in my opinion are a tourist trap, including Black. They try to charge $150-200 and more if they can sucker you. Hope none of you who read this pay more than 150 175 pesos. If you start giving them more then you will ruin it for future consumers.

Had good luck at cafe excedra with a Paraguay girl. 150 pesos for 3hours with a world class massage.

Also some massage places advertised in local newspaper. About 100 pesos, hit or miss on the quality of girl.

I personally think I will not come back to Argentina. Prices keep going up, quality is less than a year before. Shopping is not that great. Local products are of substandard quality for the most part except perhaps for leather goods. I think there are much better places, such as Brazil and the Dominican Republic.

I've seen airfares drop about $250 in the last week on United (normal prices, not their "long weekend" sale). You might want to check the prices every week or so, or sign up for their email list. They seem to have the same special a number of times a year. Usually well under $500 from many major gateways in the US. Minimum stay is a week or so, and you can usually stretch it to 10-12 days. Hilarious story. You're not the only one to have problems with girls on their periods. Kick Stand has bad luck when it comes to this. First in Montreal when we were up there he was with this girl. We were staying at a posh hotel that is one of the nicest boutique hotels in the world (according to a recent article in a travel magazine). Very nice place. Dances, I'm paying $884 including tax from the West Coast on UAL. There's that great $494 fare if you can leave this week. There's also a $773 one before taxes if you can leave mid week. I needed to leave and get back on the weekend so my choices were limited. I had this fare on hold and watched as it became sold out so I pulled the trigger. What's going on with the rising fares? Up until a couple of weeks back you could book a $900 flight on American at any point. Today I looked up the dates I'm flying on American and it's a $3000 ticket.

I have taken in a mini city tour with that lovely lady Roxana, a football match at Boca stadium, and Jackson and myself managed to obtain ringside seats at Luna Park for a Titulo Del Mundo boxing match. This was between an Argentinian and a Brazilian (no rivalry there then)
Reading this site the main discussion is what price to pay, well I'm no expert. I've only been here a week but these are my findings.

I have been to Blacks, Madhos, Affaire, Hooks, Newports, Cafe Exadra, Santa Fe 1707 and 1114. The most I have paid is 250 pesos for over 2 hours with Judy (Madhos) a 23 year old, size 8 dress. The usual price is 150 pesos for anywhere between 11/2 hours - 3 hours.

Talking to the girls it becomes very clear 150 pesos is a lot of money to them. To put this price into some prespective the average manual worker in BA takes home 500-600 pesos a MONTH!! So the maths is easy, 150 pesos for 2 hours work equates to 1 weeks work for Mr or Miss average Argentina.

One girl who I took this week used to be a school teacher but struggled on a take home pay of 350 pesos a MONTH!

On another note, on Tuesday Jackson, Captain Dave, myself and a driver visited 6 of the comodores the WSG charity supports.

I found the day a truely humbling experience, these children dont have the materialistic life my children have, but they are cared for just as well. The day itself was quite special as Jackson had aquired funding for each comodore to have a new oven/stove installed.

This was the day Jackson and Dave where showed them some pictures of ovens they could have and to check sizes etc etc.

I will after seeing the work Jackson and Dave do be making a small donation, which will go a long way to helping these less fortunate people.

I am not sure why Hook has charged different prices. The 20 pesos salida was at 330am. I had walked in the club and did not even order a drink. I went to pick up the chica. Last night the bar tender at Hook gave me counterfeit money. I did not realize until the next day. He gave me a fake 20 and a fake 10 peso bill. They are both photocopies. It is dark in there, and I did not look at the money. Today when I went to the store, the person working there picked it up in 1 second. So obviously this is a tourist trick as the Argentines know right away that it is fake.

I just noticed also there is an embedded strip that is only visible when you hold it up to the light! The strip goes from top to bottom, and starts from where the white section turns into the color section. Just hold it up to the light.

If you look at the 10 and 20 in the top left corner, it has just been printed on a LaserJet or perhaps a color photocopier. Real money will have a shiny reflective number almost like a glossy sticker. Due to the limitations of the photograph it is probably not visible here on the Internet. But when you look at the real money you will see what I mean.

The paper quality is also not as good. But Argentina's money is not as good quality as American money, and does not feel as firm regardless. As such, just feeling the paper is not as obvious as if someone gave you a fake USD.

Also, there are small color imperfections in the money. But in Hook it was dark and this was not noticeable.

I know the bartender gave me this because I was a tourist and he figured I would not notice. And, he was right! I did not notice until I tried to pass the money. But the Argentineans can spot this in 1 second, so once you get the fake money, you are screwed!!

Anyway, he will not be getting any more tips from me! Since I am down for a while he would have made more money from tips than what he ripped me off for. Also, please help support my revenge and also not tip him!!

The thing with the fake bills, is that you have to have a good deal of light to tell the difference. That is clear from your photos. In a taxi or a dark bar it is not that easy. You need to see the hidden face in blank area of the bill. And one of my fakes had a poorly drawn face to help fool you. The only response you'll get is maybe a wink from the doorman. Since there's no front desk, there's no one else to hassle you. It may not be the best place in town. But it's easily as nice as Etoile with decent beds. It's in the heart of the action, hell you get a great view of Affaire across the street. But most importantly to me, the privacy and lack of hassle are priceless. Oh yeah, breakfast is also until 1pm. Who gets up in time for breakfast at hotels where it ends at 10 or 11?

On the fake bills, the simplest thing to use is the embedded picture in the white area of the bill. The white area should appear white on both sides when you look at it directly. When you look thru the white area at a light behind the bill, you will see an embedded version of the portrait picture in black and white. This is the technique all the waiters and store clerks use. It doesn't need to be light around you, you only need a decent light behind the bar or wherever. Get familiar with these embedded pictures.

But these guys are good. They sense when you are rushed or drunk also. Especially leaving with a chica, when your attention is on the chica. In one small bar(Snob), they stuck me for 100 pesos, as follows:

1. I paid the bill(50 pesos) with a 100 peso note to leave with a chica.
2. The bartender returned and said "I don't have change, do you have cinquenta?
3. I gave him a 50 which I happened to have stashed for chicas.
4. He returned my 100 peso note. But he had switched the notes, and gave me a fake.

I was a regular customer in this bar, and just wasn't looking for it. I would never have connected the bar, except I gave the fake bill to the chica about two hours later. She was a regular for me, and brought the bill back to me a couple days later. I didn't believe her at first, but after thinking over and over: "How could I get a fake bill?", I remembered the scene. ANYTIME someone else touches your money, EXAMINE it when you get it back. And try to never let ANYONE touch your money.

Once, in Shampoo, the bartender gave me a Patacon 5 embedded in the change. And I was a regular there also. So it does make sense to pay attention to the change. Notice that the restaurant waiters and store clerks ALWAYS look at the money, so it's not unusual and you shouldn't be embarassed.

Azul Pub just opened in the last 2 weeks in La Valle between 9 de Julio and Suipacha. I went in with a really sleazy tout I know in the afternoon. The operation appears to be the same as Croupier, which is an out right rip-off.

The women wanted me to sit down with them so they could explain the "operation" of the bar to me. I refused, and talked to the large male bartender and the hostess standing. They tell me $30ar minimum for water, and $30ar for copas for women. They claimed that one paid for sex by buying drinks for the women. This is the Croupier and Le Piaf operation, but you don't get sex or anything else. It really doesn't matter what the story is, the $30ar is horribly expensive and there is nothing in the place. A certain rip-off.

These three places all operate in the very high pedestrian traffic areas of Florida, La Valle, and Carlos Pelegrini. It is best to avoid or be extremely careful of places in high traffic areas. This is the best area for a rip-off, since there is a constant supply of fresh victims. These places all have several people in the pedestrian traffic constantly hustling victims.

Last night after dinner I checked out the place on Suipacha that lused to be Kurvos. Now it is called Red Zone or something like that. Deader than a doornail. Settled on 150 for 2 hours after the usual routine of how I am not a tourist and know the score. Probably could have gotten it for less since the ratio was a healthy 10 to 1 or so.

Anyway, it was a good first session and worthy of my first night in town. Both gals are from Formosa province. The one I chose, Agostina, is very slim (no tits to speak of if that is an issue for you) and quite cute. A very nice girl which is the most important thing. Very GFE. DFK, DATY, CBJ and lots of touching. She is intelligent and well spoken. Says she is going to orthodontic school but her true dream is to be a chef and own her own restaurant. I don´t know how well she cooks but eating her was nice.

Looks: 7 for the face and 6 for the body. Attude was just about perfect. Did not ask for money up front. No mention of a tip so I gave her one of 20 pesos plus 5 for the cab which was previously negotiated. She appreciated that I got dressed and went down and waited for the cab for her, and also that I made sure it was a radio cab, and that I wrote down the number of the cab. Recommended. OK, so it was a good news, bad news thing with Alejandra. The gal who answered the door was not the same gal I know. I said, 'You are not Alejandra.' She gave me a puzzled look and whipped out her documento which said María Alejandra something. I said, 'OK, but you are not the same Alejandra from Missiónes province.' She said that that Alejandra was a Paraguaya and not from Missiónes at all and was a thief and so they 'erased' her.

Don't know, don't care but the good news is the price is down to 20 pesos instead of 30 so I fucked her anyway. Not worth repeating. She is a fake blond Brazilera with a C section scar. But I drained my balls quite nicely and that is the main thing.

Exon Reporting : OK no more ---- Only .... Yesterday Carolina took me to Tigar and a boat ride on the River Plata. It was kick ass, absolutely fucking gorgeous. And guess what, I know where some of the 88 billion US dollars the Argentines owe the IMF is located. Some 800 to 900 million dollars worth is located in the form of expensive boats docked on the river. Don't kid your self theres still plenty of money left down here in Argentina, and thease Argentines really know how to enjoy it . Moving right along, Carolina got a call while we were eating a late lunch that Fernando,( her son ), wasn't fealing well and had to go home early. Perfecto, as I really wanted to go crusing, and after dinner in Recoleta and checking out Black, ended up at Cafe Exrada. Well Maria Paula caught hold of me and away we went to my apartmento. Problem with Paula is I can't get her to leave. Before we got in the cab I made her promise me it would just be a quickie and I wanted her out of their in an hour. She lied and spent the night again. Well this morning when we woke up she wanted me to fuck her again and I refused. I was saving my sperm for Fabiana, an old friend I'd bumped into at Cafe Orleans. The Mouse has met her and she is absolutely fucking beautiful with a body too die for. As fate would have it I was home taking a little cat nap after putting Paula in a cab.
