Although, I generally agree with you, but sometimes Internet girls can be fun. There is always a sense of adventure to meet somebody unseen, almost like a blind-date. I am new to the forum and feel that I should contribute. I am not knowlodgeable about all the short hand and hope to just pick it up. Anyway I just returned from an 8 month trip to Central and South America. I did enjoy mongering in Costa Rica and Panama, but I really got spoiled to the art in BA. I began my adventures at the clubs that we all write about; Hooks, Blacks and Playwomen and met some 8s and 9s for 200 AP for a hour. Which is cheap relative to Nevada. But the real joy I had was from the Clarin X newspaper. There were hundreds of ads for women. I had to narrow it down somehow and just selected the ads that listed prices from 30 to 40 pesos per hour. Since I couldn't do fat girls I would ask if they had "flaca Chicas" and "cuantos chicas" The hardest thing if you don't speak Spanish is to talk on the telephone to them and find out the address. I learned to call from a Llamada pay phone store and ask the manager if he or she would please take down this address for me. I found 4 places that were within walking distance of each other. Each apartment that I visited would have usually 3 girls working the day shift and 3 at night. This gave me 6 girls to pick from each place. I usually was not disappointed and if I was, I would then just walk to my next place. I never had to go to more than 2 places. I expected to find these hard pros there but most of the girls were amatures just working a short time to put extra money on the table. Most had regular jobs during the day and some were even married. They were very interested in me as being from the US and I never felt rushed nor in danger. I made some good friends with them, sometimes paying for and extra hour and one even moved in with me for a month.

I also had expiences in Bariloche, Mendoza, Cordoba and Salta. These were all excellent but BA was the best. Now I am back in CA and I am very spoiled and bored. I am planning to go to Thailand at the end of Summer.

I respectfully disagree. IMHO, this is an excellent (as an initial foray into WSG) but totally incomplete report. It is a general narration and lacks any specific information that could be repeated/or avoided by fellow mongers.

Chek3, if possible, append the report with the exact addresses of the apartments you visited. If available, include the telephone numbers of the establishments and a short descriptions of the chicas you encountered. Then it will be a valuable report and a great addition to the WSG archive.

I agree that I didn't keep good notes because at the time I was not sharing on a forum. However I do remember my favorite apt. in BA and that was at 301 Talcahuano. Just go up the stairs and ring the bell it is the only apt there. The girls there were all between the ages of 20-30 and usually I had 3 to pick from unless they were busy. I always found a nice thin (flaca) one to choose. The price was 30 AP per hour.

Regarding Bariloche, there is an ugly hotel called the Bariloche Center. Talk to the man at the front desk and ask if any girls are looking for business. Since they get a kickback he wll be happy to find you something. There were a few ads in the local paper but not much. They have the wiskeyrias but the bar tab for the chicas is expensive and not necessary if you find them elsewhere.

Mendosa for some reason is full of ads for chicas but I found that it was a little more expensive than BA. 551 Montevideo has about 8 chicas from a 5 to 7. A little more professional that I don't care for but still nice at 80AP per hour. I hope this was a little more helpful.

Looking back on my recent BsAs trip, all I sense is one big blur of events. Now as I am writing from the homebound leg, I am dipping into a ’99 Luigi Bosca Cabernet. And the new Diego Torres CD is cranking on my headphones (Noiseguard technology works really well), and the recent days’ events slowly emerge from the haze. Ya gotta love the life in Bs As. There is nothing like it on earth.

There are other places, but each has their unique charms and attractions. Few can match BA for completeness, however. And there are chicas there too, I might add.

I just left my latest honey and her sweet laugh and a last minute quickie before catching my plane! Entrance Fee - 30 Pesos

Visited Cocodrillo on 19 May, Wed night at about 4.30am and stayed till 6am but was disappointed by the quality. There were around 25 chicas with 4-5 of them in their mid forties or more; average rating - 4.5. There was only one girl whom I might have pulled out, a cute little brunette who was sitting in a corner looking real bored, I would rate her a 7.2. The clientele was mostly middle aged men.

The decor of the club is average, there are two levels, the first being the dance floor and bar while the second being a restaurant or lounge of some sorts. Don't bother with the second level, there's no one there.

Shampoo:

Entrance Fee - 30 Pesos

Visited Shampoo on 21 May, Fri night at roughly 12am and stayed till 12.35am. Upon entering, I was impressed by the relatively smoke-free air and wondered whether it was the high ceiling or superior ventilation system. Turns out it was neither, there were simply too few people in there to smoke up a storm. Counted about 20 chicas, average quality is better than Cocodrilo but didn't find anyone interesting. It must have been a pretty slow night since there were around 8 guys there with an equivalent number of waitstaff and bartenders. Things were so slow that I had problems hailing a taxi from the club.

Closer:

Entrance Fee - ?

My next stop after Shampoo was Affaire but the taxi stopped in front of the next door Closer. The Closer doorman said there was no charge to take a look so what the heck. Anyway, no one worth pulling out. Most of their patrons seemed to agree; like me, guys were walking in and out in just a couple of minutes, The chicas here were somewhat more aggressive, the doorman tried to assign a girl to me but I snubbed her, kept my hands in my pockets and did my survey.

Affaire Recoleta:

Walked out of Closer and was accosted by two Affaire touts (they should really get rid of these guys). I tried to ignore them but they followed me in. Tried to get in for free but the presence of the touts distracted me. As a result, my attempt to use the "I'm a friend of Jackson's" line wasn't quite convincing and I ended up only getting a 5 peso discount off the 25 Peso cover charge.

The quality was better than Closer but not by much and I left without even using my drink ticket. Anyone knows if I can sell that on Ebay?

I have been here quite a few times since my arrival. Compared to last year, the overall quality has improved somewhat but still, no stunners. There seems also to be a greater emphasis on fairer complexioned chicas and more blonds or dyed blonds. Saw a few familiar faces especially Lucille who is looking better. But stay away from this one, she's fairly fluent in English and is real sweet at the club but an absolute nightmare in the hotel room. The waiter, Tommy will tell you she's real nice but for him, all the girls are nice.

After numerous encounters at this club, I have concurred that the going rate at least for a non-Spanish speaking gringo like myself, is 200 Pesos for an hour and 250 Pesos for 1.5 hours; probably slightly less for the non-hotties. I met a dyed blond from Tucuman (can't remember her name) who accepted 200 Pesos for 1.5 hours and who would probably have taken less but she wasn't that hot to begin with, also she tried to bail out after the one hour mark. Think she's about 30, has a really nice shoulder length hairstyle that I really liked but nothing else to write home about.

There was this other chica from the province of Santa Fe, think her name is Julie or something like that. She looks 23, about 5 feet 9 inches with a nice figure, brunette with blond streaks; quite a pretty face but a little too tanned for my taste. Anyhow, she quoted me 350 Pesos for an hour and after some negotiations, 300 Pesos but we had to do it at the love hotel next door. I cut her loose since I wasn't getting good vibes from her plus I like fairer complexioned girls. However, she claimed to be new so I expect her asking prices to fall soon.

One chica that I can recommend is Melany, she's a blond from Paraguay, about 29 with a little extra weight around her midsection but quite nice looking. She's a clockwatcher and is likely to bail early esp. if you don't speak Spanish so book her for an hour at most. Still, very affectionate and top notch performance, think Energizer bunny. Good for a short session before turning in early.

After about 12.30 or 1 on many nights, the chica to monger ratio at Madahos goes up to almost 1:1 but it seems to me like over 60% of the chicas are not getting pulled out at all while 35% only leave towards closing time. Only 5% get out about 2 times a night.

Re: foreign exchange. Please read my postings in the ¨general info¨section. Inflation does cause a currency to devalue, as does a trade deficit or any other deficit in the balance of payments. However, there are two sides (minimum) to the story. Is the peso weakening against the dollar or is the dollar strengthening against the peso? The more Kirchner jawbones the IMF that domestic priorities are more important than repaying sovereign debt, the more the peso will weaken. But, at the same time, the more the US balance of payment deficit widens due to military spending and the shift from a manufacturing to a service economy, the more the dollar will weaken.

So, all else held equal, Argentinean women should be held, equally.

I will be there pasada mañana and will do some additional research on this and other pressing questions. I am in Santiago, Chile, at the moment. BTW, on www.oanda.com I just saw a sell rate of 3.0030 pesos per dollar, the first time I have seen the exchange rate break 3 to 1 in quite some time.

I would add in reply to Exon123’s question: “Are our trips to B A going to cost less money ? Yes they are. No matter where you travel from, the cost of airfare is rising.

From Europe, I’ve been planning a number of trips for July and December and have been told by my agent to expect (at the very least) an all round 2% rise in ticket cost for this half year alone. This is due to the rising cost of oil right now and the projected fuel costs to airlines this year.

Preamble to my trip to BA-
I arrived in BA with only three things on my mind. Like the matra of real estate, all I could think of was women, women, women. My horrible goal was to cut a swath through the landscape over the next fourteen days and conquer them one and two at a time. Weeping all the way to the airport, this week I returned to sex prison USA after 10 wonderful days in BA. This was my first trip. I’ve mongered in Russia, Cuba, Colombia and Costa Rica, but I am now sold on BA. The information below is intended for newbies, which others with more experience can perhaps comment on in more detail.

I made the May 18 AMA meeting, and the night before, thanks to Moondog’s dinner invitation, went to the restaurant Radizio in La Costañera, where I met up with a lot of other BA mongers and their chicas: Captain Dave, Andres, Stormy, Prazer (I think), and the legend himself, Jackson. Adriana and Ricardo from Platynum were also there. Some of us later went to Madaho’s, and from there I went to Cutty Sark with Ricardo (although I soon returned to Madaho’s, where Moondog was still drinking).

I want to thank Moondog for sharing his knowledge, and of course Jackson and Capt Dave for making my experience in BA a great one (that was a wonderful “initiation” barbecue (what an atmosphere!) the night before my departure). As I mentioned, I think we will know each other for a long time, for I have seen the Promised Land and I won’t be forgetting it anytime soon. I am now completely focused on getting back to BA. For those of you who haven’t met Jackson or the Captain yet, do so – your life will be incomplete otherwise.

Tips and suggestions:

1. If you have not already arranged one, before leaving, arrange an apartment though Mayra (I highly suggest the Recoleta area for your first time). I spoke to her on the phone, and she is very pleasant to work with. Also have her get you a cell phone, which can be delivered right after your arrival. A phone will normally be in the apartment, but there will not be enough credit to allow you to call cell phones (a necessity). For 10 days I paid about 130 pesos. You’ll spend more than that on your first chica. Have Mayra email you the number in advance and put it on the “visiting card” you make up on your computer: include your address in BA and numbers, and hand these out to any prospects. Mayra can also arrange a pick-up at the airport for 30 pesos.

2. Chicas: Read previous reports and look at the sites, and come up with the days and a short list of chicas. Then contact Roxana ($10 an appointment). Set up appointments for the afternoons and leave your nights open. Like Mayra, Roxana is extremely pleasant and well organized. The chicas will normally want/receive 100 to 150 pesos for an hour, but will generally stay longer. You generally need to include at least 10 pesos cab fare. Roxana will set you up with the chica of your choice for a lower price than you can get it. I have nothing but praise for her services. Note: All of the girls were older than they appeared in their pictures, although I did not try argentina-escorts, where according to Moondog, the girls on the site are just what you get. Here are two options from other sites:

Silvina from Platynum was great and was interested in pleasing. Small chested but a slim, wonderfully curved body and provided BBBJ. Highly Recommended.

Gala from sensualesbaires had a wonderful figure, perhaps not as absolutely perfect as her picture (check it out!), but very close (her breasts got smaller after having a child she said). Highly recommended.

3. Bring a very small bilingual dictionary and carry it around with you if you are still learning the language. Buy a guide book with maps. My salvation was Moondog’s extensive report on another site, which included details and maps that I printed out and brought with me.

4. Go to a Tuesday night AMA meeting, and meet those who can help you with info to make your stay a great one. Strike up a conversation with fellow mongers at the bar.

5. Whenever you pay for something, use larger bills first. Save the smaller ones for taxis (everywhere and inexpensive), tips and drinks (they disappear quickly).

6. For you first night go to Affaire for some drinks (3 for 25 or 30 pesos), walk next door to Closer (probably not worth staying, although you never know), and between 12:00 and 3:00 a.m. go to Madaho’s (5 minutes a way). I prefer Madaho’s to Blacks (more expensive and same quality to my eye). (Recall the problems some have had with Blacks. Also keep in mind Jackson’s negative encounter at Sante Fe 1707 and take the ban seriously if you want to stay in the jefe’s good graces).

Other notes:

I quickly moved from internet girls to those I met at other locales: I was a regular in Affaier, although mostly 7s and 8s are to be found there. Attitude makes up for a lot, however, and I had a fun time with Victoria and Mia on two different nights. The latter has a very sexy way of moving her hips as she watches herself dance in the mirror. I checked out Café Orleans and Exedra more than once (about a 5 or 10 minute taxi ride from Recoleta). Other times there were a few real lookers. The clubs of Piper, Ness, Cattos and Hooks are nearby. There is no cover, but drinks will cost you. Some offer shows. Often there will be new arrivals, younger girls mixed in with the older pros. From 100-150 pesos, although they often start by quoting 200 pesos.

Madaho’s is my favorite of the clubs I visited. They charge 25 pesos and the first drink is free. There is a small young brunette named Lila that was great back at the apartment. Amber, a larger, dyed-blond Uruguayan was also wonderful in bed. Don’t be put off if the girls seem to ignore you – they are waiting for you to speak to them, and then they will open up. Be selective before striking up a conversation, however, for you may waste time and money trying to get away from a chica you don’t find as appealing as you first thought. The policy is that a chica must be invited for one drink before she can leave with you. I saw many 7s and 8s, some 9s there, and yes, even one10 (otherwise occupied, unfortunately), on the various nights I was there. Weekends aren’t as good, M-F are better. I’ve read on the board that the quality has gone down (Peter P) at the clubs but I’m not in a position to judge. All I can say is that many girls are not pulled out after many hours of talking and hanging out, so negotiate. It seemed at Madaho’s the going rate was 200 to 250 pesos for 1 to 1.5 hours (same call as Don Busch).

Blacks, promotes itself as more upscale, but I did not find the girls any better. The bartenders are less personable, and there is little breathing space. Thursdays are reportedly the best night, but I wasn’t there that night.

Solid Gold. I took out a pleasant 22 year old, but did not like the place much. The girls are just OK, and the furniture arrangement stinks – many of the girls just lounge around on the sofas off to the side.

Shampoo – 30 pesos entrada. I met Prazer (?) as I walked in on a Sunday night. There were a couple of lookers there, but it was a bad night (once again, the weekend). We left to go to the disco Hacia de Cuba, but it was closed (I did not make it to the discos, but people I talked to spoke of this one and of Mint – more informed BA regulars can suggest other discos and also brothels).

In all of these clubs, talk to the guys at the bar – they will be useful resources about discos, clubs, etc, in BA and in other parts of the world.

The next time I am in BA it will go for much longer, I will do a Spanish course at the University of BA, take dance lessons, put up signs to teach English, and otherwise find every possible way to get integrated and meet people/chicas. And of course this will include keeping Jackson and Capt Dave on the speed dial of my cell.

One quick story:

I had an incredible encounter with an absolutely crazy taxi driver. I was on my way to Radizio to meet and have dinner with the gang. The driver took off like lightning, almost hit a few people, was weaving in and out of traffic, giving people the bright lights, etc. - it was just too much. I told him to slow down and he said something in Spanish that I didn't catch but I know it was something snide. I think he had been drinking, based on his demeanor. Misadventures in Buenos Aires: Chapter 1

It was a Thursday night and I set out to visit as many boliches as I could. The process is whimpsical, or at least it depends on the officers' whims of that day. I know of people who make less than ar$1500 a month get their visas, while people without a visa application background were rejected even if in their mid 60s and owning a company at BA.

If you speak English, traveled before to the States and know where you want to go, it easier to convince the officer than if you don't know anything about the US (including the language) and pretend that you want to visit the country (besides going to Disneyworld, where you have to bring your kids and thus show support for their tickets and accomodations expenses).

In any case, bringing a chica North has significant chances of becoming a headacke: If the chica stays at your place and decides that she want to overstay her visa and build her "American Dream", you may be in trouble with the INS because of concealing an illegal alien. Besides, things may get worse if you threat them to report their behavior, since a chica could get mad and report your "business arrangements" with her, and use that advantage to ask you to buy her "this and that".

Often times the girls have to get another full time or part time regular job because they can't make enough with just prostitution alone.

Sure they only make 30-50 pesos but if they get one customer each night, its better than getting 150 pesos in a club once a week. Here is a year's worth of observation on holidays in Argentina. It seems like whenever there is a holiday on the weekend, it automatically extends to Monday for a "largo fin de semana". Sunday was Father's Day so naturally everything also closes on Monday! I also understand that today (Monday) may be the official "Flag Day". Buenos Aires and Rio are two totally different places. It's hard to even compare the two. They are like night and day. If you like the beach definitely hit Rio. Buenos Aires is a more complete city though with great restaurants, cheap taxis and a beautiful city. Rio is also beautiful.

I have also been told by several girls the minimum age to work in a club is 21. However, I've met a few 19-20 year olds that told me that some clubs don't strictly enforce it. I have been logging into this this forum on a regular basis for the last 6 months without contributing until now.
