View Full Version : Buenos Aires Or Santiago?
Which city would be best for the price for escort or apartments with girls?
Buenos Aires or Santiago?
I plan to go in one of the 2.
Check the ISG. I haven't heard much about Santiago being on the monger radar. Lima maybe, Colombia some, Brazil definitely, but Santiago? Somebody will weigh in on this who's been around.
I'm going to Santiago this weekend, and I'll post any revelations on ISG. However, I find it difficult to believe it's going to hold a candle to Buenos Aires.

I'll be interested in your impressions of Santiago. I am thinking of spending a few months in Santiago or Valparaiso. Good luck up there.
I've posted several times about Santiago on various threads where people have asked so I'll recap.
I've travelled to SCL about a half dozen times for 2-4 day business trips. You should know that if you arrive expecting a second BA then you will be disppointed. Doing so would be somewhat like arriving to USA for the first time, spending 6 months living like a king on a US$1000/day budget in central New York, and then making a short side trip to Dallas expecting a carbon copy of NYC. You will be disappointed. BA is somewhat like Paris with a 4:1 Euro/Dollar exchange rate, a huge supply of great pro and amateur women, and a somewhat Mediterranean climate to boot. It's kind of hard not to like it and "holding a candle to it" is also rather difficult especially using a city only 750 miles to the west.
But I also like Dallas and other suburban, relaxed, not-so-worldclass cities. Santiago is like a Denver in South America. It's very clean, organized, prosperous, tame and relaxed yet there is fun to be had. There is some South American style poverty in outskirt areas but nothing like Rio. I advise anyone who is spending substantial time in BA to make a short trip there at some point, possibly for a visa renewal run.
Look at www.sexo.cl as a guide to incall/outcall services. I used agencies/chicas listed on it and was quite satisfied. One thing I quicky noticed is that the girls that arrived to my hotel room were exactly as shown in the photos - can't say the same for BA or other cities and that's mainly why I stopped doing incall in BA. Though a much more conservative society, the Chileans seem to have no problem with prostitution. No problems in my hotel and several people (colleagues, drivers, etc) openly recommended it and/or took me to private apartments. From what I could see there is no expansive p4p boliche network like you find everywhere in Argentina. I tried a place or two in my area (Vitacura) and they resembled upscale US titty bars including upscale prices. The girls were rougher, hardened pro types whereas I had found some genuine fresh university sophomores of pure Spanish extraction on the websites. Cousins in Mendoza, currently doing some artmodeling work and their dad was was a judge and I believe it. There are some sexy women running around SCL, nowhere near as many as in BA but many more than a US city. Many have some indigenous blood but much less than Mexicans. Generally speaking, not as euro-chic as many argentinas but still some good ones and nothing to do with US sloths.
Some colleagues took me out to some cool restaurants and bars in the Vitacura and Las Condes areas IIRC. Again it was more like Dallas than Paris but I liked it. SCL can be a beautiful city on clear days since the gigantic Andes are just behind it. Some of the areas look like they could be a part of Southern California - mountainous, just off the Pacific, temperate, dry, and yes smog sometimes. I went down to the coastal areas of Vina del Mar and Valparaiso once and was not at all impressed except with the scenic drive getting there thru mountains and vinyards. The towns were just dead and not at all appealing when I went in November IIRC. The Pacific there is a sight to see with mountains, cliffs, huge rocks, and extreme currents like in parts of California but that was the only attraction for me. Santiago is higher and drier so it gets quite cold at night. I don't think it snows very often in the valley since its not too high but it won't be as mild as BA in winter.
SCL can be a nice sidetrip for a moderately homesick gringo living in BA. It's so close and is strikingly similar to a large suburban US city in many ways. Even the malls are loaded with US stores & brands and you can go to various US chain restaurants like Tony Romas for a rack of ribs. The streets, organization, lifestyle seem much more American than Latin American except for the women. Look at the police force in SCL - they might as well be from a different planet than the poor BA criminalcops. They're professionals and you don't want to try bribing them. Discipline in this area is a key to a successful country which is something that most Latin American countries like Argentina have not implemented. The powers at be would rather own the law than have a just/efficient country. A lot of the people also prefer having powerless, hypercorrupt officials to a serious country and the responsibilities that come with it. Not so in Chile, which is probably the only place in the region I'd feel comfortable making an investment in.
Thanks for that Moore. Nice synopsis. I looked long and hard at Santiago before coming to BA. Sounds like a nice counterpoint.
Santiago is an okay place to visit for a few days. There is some mongering to be had. It wouldn't be a place that I personally would go to for mongering, nor would I want to live there. The pollution is more evident to me. Although they have a great subway system, there is no train and the bus system is incomprehensible; no published guide like in BA. The bus drivers get paid per fare so they are constantly jockeying for position. Cabs are quite reasonable. Airport is closer to downtown although not grossly so.
Santiago's got arguably better seafood but overall the restaurant scene is not as good and what is up with all those hot dogs covered with the avocado-mayonaisse mix?
Hotels are a bit higher than BA, but a bit higher average quality. I wouldn't think you'd need to reserve in advance unless it was a holiday weekend or a big convention or something. I never have.
I too have posted on specific mongering aspects. The bottom line, in my opinion: Of all the places I have mongered, Santiago is certainly one of them. Of all the cities I've been to, Santiago is certainly one of them. It doesn't really stand out in any aspect. I've been there five times.

No contest! For mongering B.A. wins "hands down" Santiago does not even get a Silver (or Bronze) medal!
Santiago for seafood (and white wine)
B.A. For the beautiful women, plus the best Beef in the world and excellent red wine.
Enjoy,

THANKS A LOT GUYS. You are great.
That's great to get infos from people, that have been there.
I personnaly had a great time in Lima and I will go back there again.
So I will follow your advice for be. A.
Watched a movie a couple of months ago called "Los Debutantes" which is set in Santiago. The plot involves strip clubs, strippers, whores, crime bosses, and mongers with an absolutely beautiful female lead as the stripper main character. To see Buenos Aires checkout Robert Duvall in "Assassination Tango" starring as a hit man.

Turns out there really wasn't that much, it's really more of a drama / suspense. I guess next time I will just stick to buying hardcore porn, lol.
I wonder if that club featured in the movie really exists in Santiago? Looked like a quality place, I'd spend some cash there!
Hey valpone,
Yes argentina is much better if you are going to bang girls, but if you want a great women for a mate, the Chilean women are the best. I have had much great experiance with Chilean women who know how to treat and respect thier man than any other women in the world.
Good luck fellow dog,
I pretty much agree on the perception of Moore about chile.
Chileans are avid of importing stuff from the US rather than europe, and there is a large American influence on several aspects like food, hotel chains, TV shows, etc. Many Chileans during the dictatorship travelled as refugees to US and Canada, being Canada and Sweeden the prefered countries to escape from Chile. The current macro-economy it's also American-imported; Senator Pinera, Hernan Buchi and others were called the "Chicago boys" since they imported many ideas from Chicago University. Actually Chile attracts more American investors than any other country in South America, (also because of NAFTA) The weather anyways is horrible, and the society is extremely cinical, on the women (and people in general) if you locate yourself on vitacura, las condes, la dehesa, the genetics influence is very German and vasca, noticed also on the last names, so in general you'll see taller, blonde and blueyed people. The mixture in Chile is also influenced by the Palestinean immigration (they call them Turkish, but is mistaken) and every large immigration association owns as a rule a stadium and a school, so there is the Palestinean stadium, the Deustche stadium, the Spaniard stadium, the Italian stadium, the German clinic, etc.
Different from Argentina, in Chile the influence of the militars remained, and the police is kind of militarized. They have orders anyway to respect as a first priority both rich people and foreigners (European and American foreigners, not Peruvians nor Bolivians) They have two forces: the police (policia) and carabineros. Police is very corrupt, they don't wear uniforms, only at their offices, but their cars are marked, and the carabineros used to be part of the militar forces, in fact the head of the carabineros was one of 4 heads of the government when the dictatorship had the power until 1990.
But the carabineros can be very rude with poor people. I was in a 'cabaret' on the red zone one time and the carabineros made an 'inspection' so discovered the girls had a special gate-away (a hole behind a seat to escape) then they've asked to the clients for documents and asked questions like: what are you doing here, and again and again. Many of the clients were sent to the police station and treated rude, I was lucky said some bullshit and ran away. So on that sense I desagree, prostitution is not accepted socialy like in Argentina. What happens is that many guys, so called 'pilotos' (similar to pimp) they receive a commision from the apartment for sending someone. No matter if they know him or not. Many 'pilotos' were at plaza de armas on the cold nights of Santiago.
While Paraguayas and North Argentinean aborigens were great for the sex industry development of BA, they are thin, nice tits, tight skin and sexier, Chileans women bodies looks like a tank, short legs, wider shoulders and breasted, lack of backsides. Of course these are signals since they are mixed already so 100% mapuches are only findable in Temuco (south of Chile, by the way beautiful reinforest lakes and natural enviroments) Traditionally Chilean prostitution has been always more expensive and with less quality than Argentina. On the other hand, finding top quality-gorgeous girls for higer prices it's so much easier in Chile than Argentina.
The weather anyways is horrible, and the society is extremely cinical.Let's compare Santiago to Los Angeles, geographically. They are on the same latitude (33 degrees though on opposite sides of the equator), are at about the same elevation, are located in a valley/basin very close to the Pacific on the west coast of a large continent, and are surrounded by a large mountain range with intermediate ranges closer to the coast. They have natural problems with smog and earthquakes for the very same reasons. As I mentioned earlier, the places even look the same. Not suprisingly, they have very similar climates - dry, sunny, temperate, mild seasonal, and with cooler nights which according to most people is the IDEAL FUCKING CLIMATE.
Millions of Americans migrated to Los Angeles over several decades and California is currently the most populous state of the nation - a few more years and there may be more Californians than Argentines. Why do you think that so many people moved there? One hint - not because of the shitty weather.
I know that Argentines are taught to passionately hate everything about Chile before they can walk, I've seen and heard the ranting 100 times. Hell, the English futbol team and Margaret Thatcher are Argentina's best old buddies compared to Chile. So I must commend you since that was the most objective commentary on Chile I've ever seen written by an Argentine. You didn't even mention how "bad the water is" there, which is usually at least in the Top Ten list.

You didn't even mention how "bad the water is" there, which is usually at least in the Top Ten list.I lived more time in Santiago de Chile than in BA, but you are assuming that I'm Argentinean when is not true. On my perception the weather is colder in Santiago, because it's mountain climate, especially in spring and fall, it's most of the time very cold on the morning, then warm or even hot during the day, and again very cold by night, sunny defenitely not.
You are assuming that I'm argentinean when is not true. Based on what/how you wrote below and in other places you had me fooled. What is your nationality?
It's sometimes a wired relationship argentineans have with cars. Narrow streets, cheap taxi, a lot of 24/7 colectivos by the city made that many doesn't even think about driving a car. They classify cars in: imported or domestic. And may be that one of the reasons for "imported" cars have to pay more taxes is Macri owned all of the cars factories in Argentina, so they probably made a law to "defend the national cars industry against the quality of foreign invasors". Being an expat living in Argentina it's like being a Mexican living in LA. It's going to be hard to understand some behaviors, actions and desires on a foreign society especially when not speaking the language and not being integrated to the society like having a normal job or attending school (or this can be replaced for living a very long time and having many local friends and having many problems to be resolved) I have a nice example here: For many porteno guys (and girls also) the top-current-car is the mini cooper, here cost about US$27.000 but in US it's around US$17.000 and it's targeted for younger people and mostly females and (in the US) it's on the same level than the PT cruiser and the bettle. Here is definelty a car for male, and here in las Canitas I've noticed that every restaurant owner on las Canitas owns a Mini Cooper, also Maradona's Mini Cooper got very famous on the media starring several scandals about discussions, confusions, gifts and sex with Nazarena Velez which it's attached on this message (Maradona was the #1 soccer player worldwide and responsable for Mexico 86 worldcoup Argentina's triumph. Both Maradona and his former manager they live in Las Canitas)
They will prefer a "ricky sarkany" pair of shoes than "prada", "infinit" sunglasses than "vouge" (in both cases prices are very very similar)
But anyways, why should you expect that someone who did not travelled can see the difference from one brand to another? And with cars same thing happens. It's not as easy to see a ferrari, audi, bmw, porsche, in BA unless you live in a private "country" or in las canitas.
I have a question here and is: what makes a brand to be popular in one country and not-popular in another?
And More, you've got from one extreme to the other, but what's in the middle? May be a non-stuck-up ***** more sophisticated than a working girl and capable to notice the difference from a renault and a bmw?
I spent the weekend in Santiago, arriving early Friday evening. My first and lasting impressions were that BsAs and the Chilean capital couldn't be more different. Think of Santiago as Denver or Atlanta (add mountains) to Buenos Aires as New York or Paris.
So, whether you'd prefer one over the other has everything to do with whether you're more at home in a spread-out, commercial-oriented city or a denser, more "cultural" metropolis. Do you like malls with Starbucks, Tony Roma's and Ruby Tuesday, with people dressed like North Americans but speaking Spanish? Then Santiago's for you. Dinner for two at a Peruvian restaurant (seafood, since I'd had enough bife de bife for a while) for $50 US? Santiago. Modern, efficient subway, highways, etc. Santiago. Military cops everywhere, and I mean everywhere? Santiago. Not to say you can't spend some $ in Buenos Aires if you want to, but all the basics in Santiago are more expensive.
As for mongering, I didn't get the chance since my match.com non-pro took care of me, but others have mentioned a strong escort scene, with the chicas all that they appear to be on the Web sites.
I have to qualify all this by saying that my 2-day visit may not be terribly representative of what others would do / have done in Chile, but if you have any questions, send me a PM.
Do you like malls with Starbucks, Tony Roma's and Ruby Tuesday, with people dressed like North Americans but speaking Spanish? Sometimes yes and it can be especially convenient when located only a 90 minute flight from BA.
If you live in BA yet still like wearing US brands like Hilfiger, Polo, Levis, etc check out the stores in Santiago. Most of that stuff is much cheaper there than in BA. Ditto for cars and basically any durable and/or imported good.
Of course services, partying, whoaring, dining are mostly better and cheaper in BA.

Based on what / how you wrote below and in other places you had me fooled. What is your nationality? No my idea isn't to fool no one, you see in this world, isn't about nationality, in this world there is only two kind of people; winners and losers, so yeah, I'm a winner.
No my idea isn't to fool no one, you see in this world, isn't about nationality, in this world there is only two kind of people; winners and losers, so yeah, I'm a winner. You don't write so well for somebody from the states!:D What fraternity did you attend?
Yes, is true, I don't write so well In English for somebody from the states (nor England, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia) I don't write so well In italian for somebody from italy, and I barely write better in spanish, after many years of school and university but I recognize that sometimes I misspell some few words and I have serious desagreements with the castellano, I'm from north Italy but lived as an expatriate for many years I roamed, so I don't have a place that I can call home, I've tested everywheres pussy and yes, I liked it, attended school, trade, and learned too. Leaned that there are american motherfuckers and american straight people, italian motherfuckers and italian nice people, even good relatives and bad relatives, people that deserves respect and people who must work and learn a lot before to deserve respect. Does not matters where are they from, as I said, may be with cruelty, winners and losers. And do you know how to recognize winners? They click the banner on the top of this page that starts with daily maid.
Regards to all mongers on this forum;)

Combined with the super high costs of everything, and it was enough that I'll never go back. In fact, the only attractive women in Chile were from someplace else. I was as far south as Puerto Montt, and spent several months in Santiago and the fifth region (on the ocean). As far as doable ladies, Chile is a drought and expensive. What's worse, the people lack the charm and friendliness that many South Americans still have. In short, I'd say just about anyplace is better than Chile, but you might save money on chicas because they'll kill your sex drive!
