This is a 5 star hotel very close to Plaza de Mayo. Some portenos had recomended the place, so I went there today.
The restaurant is in the entre planta. It has a modern look about it with some hints of 70ish furniture. At lunch, they have lots of business types that go there for the executive menu. The menu is 45 pesos and includes as starter a buffet (which is not as impresive as the one in Hotel Alvear) a main course selected from about 10 options of elaborated food (no parrilla or simple bifes) non-alcoholic drink, deseart, and coffee.
The food is good and the atmosphere interesting (at least it is a change from the more stuffy style of the other top hotels) and for 45 pesos one gets a good meal. Finally, I am told that the bar in the lobby gets a lot of after hour traffic from the city district and can have lots of nice non-pros, but I have not check (yet) the accuracy of this.
Cheers
