There have been a few posts past few days about chicas availability due to the holiday. I thought I post the Argentine holidays here as general info. I got this from a website. So please correct if they are not accurate.

- Semana Santa, Good Friday, Easter and Holy Thursday are related to the same celebration.
- Día de la Bandera is June 20th.

I am planning a visit to Buenos Aires over the July 9 holiday. Does the whole city close down for this holiday: stores, restaurants, etc? What options do I have for chicas on this day: escorts, clubs, coffee houses?

Ghost townAny recommendation on things to do? I. E sightseeing or walking in parks or places that might be better with peace and quiet and no crowds.
Is it dead on the Saturday in between as well?
Thanks.
Saturdays are like business days especially in the morning. Private apartments are working, and all of the entertainment, as restaurants works, and even more. In general, downtown and areas such as El Once gets empty, but if you head to Palermo and Recoleta, action it's there.
Sundays parks get crowded with province immigrants, they bring all of their children and spend the day in there, especially the rosedal. As it's a free spot, many goes there.
I have readed in the newspaper that this year expected is to find the capital as a ghost town in January. I love that! No traffic, no noises. For free!
Hello,
It's been a long time since I've had the privilege of visiting BA. It looks like I'll be coming down during Semana Santa. Will any of the privados or clubs be operating during the long weekend? If not, I hope at least "civilian" places like restaurants and bars will be open so that I can at least have some good beef and Malbec.
Also, is it correct that Thursday, March 20 is not a holiday, but Monday, March 24 is?
Gracias, amigos.
