This is my first trip to BA. But I've mongered pretty much worldwide. Looking forward to visiting "Mecca."
I'll be in BA for 3 nights arriving on 9/1 (early in the morning) followed by a couple of nights in Santiago, Chile. I'm thinking about staying at the Sheraton Libertador. Being a "preferred" guest. But I'm willing to be convinced out of it if the mongering is not easily available in that area.
I'm a Spanish speaker, and I'd like to find one or two discrete GFEs while I'm in BA. I could also probably get out for a few hours to some bars in the evenings. But I'm not a big drinker. Any recommendations? How is the early week action?

But I'd suggest the Sheraton on Cordoba near Florida street.
Its much closer to the Mongering, you can walk to a lot of it, and you won't have to hassle with taxi's unless you go to Recoleta.

In any direction you turn from that hotel you have hookers, but more on the streets in front of it than on the streets behind it. Turn left out the front door, go two blocks, turn right and you have four clubs in the next two blocks. Don't go before midnight or so. Also lots of SWs all over Cordoba. Or go right out the front door, go two blocks and turn left. Or go to Maipu 663 which is a block and a half away.

Does that type of scene exist in Argentina like it does in Brazil and Asia?
In the day time what you have are Cafe Orleans (not recommend by me, but go out your door, turn right, go two blocks, cross the street) private apartments (recommended) and the internet chicas. No real comparison to the massage parlors or "soapies" in Asia. 100 private apartments within a ten block radius of your hotel, including some of my personal favorites.

You should not budget in USD. You should budget in ARS. My idea of the ideal Argentinean experience is a bit out of the mainstream but an hour with Camila at Maipu 359 comes pretty close. 100 ARS.

Ate at Chacra. Next door to l'Alliance (which was closed for renovations) Great steak in a white linen table setting. We were starving by 8pm, and the place seemed like it was just opening. Inexpensive for such a fine meal ($160 AR for 2 with beer and wine) seemed like a place for the "muture" crowd.
Looked around for Café Exedra, which seemed to be boarded up and closed down. But again, it was early.

You're right, Chacra wasn't all that great come to think of it. In Mexico City there is a steakhouse (name escapes me and I'm having trouble Googling it) where the waitresses are all in tight dresses with low cut blouses. And all 8's or above. Not a chica bar, but just a good / expensive steakhouse.

Such a meal in NYC or LA would have easily been over $500 USD perhaps much more considering the quality of the wine and the size/flavor of the cuts of meat.
Puerto Madero felt like Fanuel Hall in Boston or even some of the restaurant districts in Melbourne, Australia...modern and historical simultaneously. Many beautiful women abound (not to mention in our offices). It felt way more modern and happening than the Microcenter excursion we took the Sunday night. That being said the locals are keen to show me around Recoleta tomorrow and Friday.....We're eating sushi tomorrow, right before we eat something else....

I did not partake in Chile. We went to Platinum, saw the floor show, but did not think the girls were are good as Argentina, especially for the added cost. It cost 30000 Chilean to get in and 12000 more for drinks ($75 US) just to hang out, and about 200000 (~$363 US) to take a girl back to the hotel (plus who knows what other fees would have materialized) The best looking girls there were Argentinean and Columbian. I look forward to filing one more report, then it's back to the USA (and my frequent border crossings to Mexico) I also look forward to coming back to Argentina for a longer stay in about 4-6 months.
