Next thing you know, she'll be fudging the inflation numbers (maybe leave energy and food out of the calculation) , juicing the employment figures (maybe not have Bs As Prov report unemployment) , covering up the misdeeds of top administration officials and lying to the public in order to fuel pseudo-nationalistic emotions. By that time, she'll be running that place like the banana republic in to which Obama and the left have turned the US.
She is desperately trying to put off the crash. The geniuses who advise her never consider that Argentina needs foreign capital more than foreign capital needs Argentina.
Multinational insurers will leave Argentina and the locales will make deposits into the correct numbered accounts to have exceptions made for them. Actually seems like the very worst of Obama and romney mixed together: croney capitalism mixed with psuedo socialist help for the argentine pubic good-if and only if more of cristina is considered good by anyone at this point
She and her followers are dangerous. They are desperate to hang on to power no matter what it costs them. I foresee some really bad times in Argentine's near future.

Why? So they can stay in office!
Of the 16 year olds that will be eligible to vote :
38% live below poverty levels.
28% are NOT in school.
9% can't read or write.
36% are subsidized by Crazy K!
These are partial and semi accurate numbers pulled out of my ass but I read it a few days ago.
So who are the poor and illiterate 16 year old punks going to vote for on election day?
They will vote for the persons that give them free scoccer, free digital tv and the more bastards you have the more money you get!
So at 16 they can't go to prison for murder, they can't drink beer but they can make SUPER important political changes!
WTF?
TL.
Please respond!
P. S. Does this mean I can fuck a voter?

P. S. Does this mean I can fuck a voter?Yes, you can fuck them as long as they are over 14 though you can't go to a Telo with them nor give them alcohol! But the 16 year old vote is my least worry. Lots of real bad shit is being organized around the country. Milagros Salas and her 'soldiers', D'Elia and his and the Campora armed to the teeth.

If a juvenile attacks someone, local or foreigner, are we literally defenseless to protect ourselves because even defense is not allowed against a juvenile attacking you with fists, pipes, knives?
Is there any actual limit short of death where fighting back against a juvenile thug beating on you won't get you, the adult, in more trouble with the law?

They have some kind of bullshit equal force law to where if you pull a knife I can't shoot you, if you pull a club I can't knife you, and so forth. I am sure Aqualung will weigh in on this but I was also told that if someone under 18 tries to rob you all you can basically do is keep his hand out of your pocket. I have often wondered if the chorro I pushed off the moving train near V. Montes station was over 18 or not. I am pretty sure he was but quite frankly I would have done it anyway. Now the kid who tried to steal my backpack in Retiro, I was going to ram his head into the plexiglass door but I was less sure he was 18 so gave him a fuerte patada en el trasero and let it go at that.
There have been two incidents recently in my state where drunk college students walked into or broke into the wrong house and got shot. One instance was a woman. 21 or 22, who had just graduated and had a BAC of. 24 and wandered into some couple's bedroom. Unfortunately for her they were attorneys who had previously received death threats due to some case they were involved in. Apparently they warned her they were armed and would shoot and she opened the door anyway. The other case was a guy who had just turned 21 the previous day and was still so drunk he broke a window and let himself into a house that he apparently thought was his. That guy had an antique shotgun and perforated the lad fairly thoroughly. In either situation the shooter would be in trouble in Argentina, I think. However in my state as soon as the person passes the threshold you can blow them away with impunity. I have mixed feelings about that since in a way it implies the death penalty for burglary, but on the other hand I have little sympathy for the idiots in question. The woman recovered fully and got light jail time but the guy is still in the hospital and may have permanent damage as in shit in a bag for the rest of his life.

Is there any actual limit short of death where fighting back against a juvenile thug beating on you won't get you, the adult, in more trouble with the law?Self defence is always self defence whether the attacker is under-age or not. The law says more or less that the force used has to be in accordance to the risk you face. Basically If a kid attacks you with a gun and you shoot him (as long as the gun is legal and you have the corresponding permits) you won't get into too much trouble. If a skinny 12 year old punk attacks you with a pen knife and you blow him away with a shot gun you had better have a good lawyer. If you are a small delicate adult and the attacker is a huge 16 year old weight lifter things change.
It all boils down to being able to prove that you really felt (and can prove) your life was in danger. However, it's still a good idea to have a good lawyer available. The US embassy (or whatever nationality you are) can provide you with a list of recommended local lawyers. Never a bad idea to have it whenever you are in a foreign country.
Moyano is the teamsters union jefe, right?
He needs to pull a Jimmy Hoffa and go away!
Right?
TLNo, TL, I don't think you have a grip on the situation. Moyano is on the other side. At the moment he would be the first line of defence against government thugs taking over.

Can't we just have a nice, little National Socialist State?

They say there are currently fairly upstanding citizens sitting in jail at the moment that were only guilty of defending themselves, with their hands, against minors that had attacked them. Not trying to argue with you bubba, just trying to get to the bottom of this VERY important issue.

As DH mentioned further down there is no death penalty for burglary (or any other crime) in Argentina. So to kill someone in self defence you must react accordingly to the threat. If you kill someone you had better be able to prove that you felt your life was in danger. The same as in many states in the US!
Also, according to the law every crook has the right to flee. If you shoot someone in the back while he is running away after robbing you even if it was at gun point it is not considered self defence. There was no threat to your life by a guy running away.
Of course, unless you have an idiot as a lawyer, most people who have killed in a contested self defence case rarely get the book thrown at them. Maybe manslaughter which carries a three year suspended sentence.
If it was up to me I'd hang even the pick pockets in Plaza de Mayo but the law won't allow me!
Again, I repeat, make sure you have a good attorney who has experience in self defence cases.

Tis a joke!Yes, Moyano us the one that can cripple the country with a national strike. He and his unions used to be friendly with old Nestor but since he died relations with Cristina have gone sour.
At the moment many opposition parties are trying to get him into their camps. This week he was seen to be very friendly with Macri.
He is a big thorn in Cristina's side. Strangely enough he is one of the main reasons (or at least a very important one) we don't have a dictatorship here. The opposition parties are non existent so she could do practically as she wishes if she had him on her side. If Cristina had her way we would already be another Venezuela and well on the way to be another Cuba.

1.) Raise the drinking age to 21.
2.) Lower the age of impunity to 13.
3.) Install automatic military service for any 18 year old that is not going to go to school. 2 years service.
4.) Adopt the DEATH penalty and TRUE Life sentences for kidnapping, murder, etc, jaywalking.
If I ran for office I would use these promises.

And the black Shirts and funny little arm bands.
Look at how Perón attempted to create a self-sustaining economy. His attempts failed because all the resulting products were of ridiculously low quality.Dickhead, This should be an easy lay up for you, since I don't know much about pre-2001 Argentine history. Why do you dislike the Peronists but like the Democrats in the USA? Peron was a populist. Obama is a populist. Are there parallels between solar cells and automobiles and whatever it was that Argentina was producing? If people like Obama / Pelosi / Reid were in charge of the USA for the next 50 years would the USA end up like Argentina?
I think the answer to the last question is no, but their policies seem somewhat similar, just the Peronists were a whole lot worse.
