View Full Version : American Politics during the Trump Presidency
I thought they were going to repeal the Affordable Care Act.
Or was it just another pack of lies to get elected ?
What happened to the "Art of the Deal" ?
I thought they were going to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

What happened to the "Art of the Deal" ?Art of the Deal was just another of Trump's many lies. Since he cannot ever accept blame, Trump will find a scapegoat for the failure of repeal.
Tres3.
Priebus. It was all Preibus's fault. If he'd done a better job of um whatever he was supposed to be doing, then the WH and the Repubs could have clearly communicated their health care vision which was um probably something. But Priebus for sure. Just look at the name: "Reince Priebus." It sounds like "Opus Dei" or "Rank Fungus" or "Pretentious Asshole" or something. Clearly not marketable.
Plus it's pretty obvious the Russians got to McCain. When he had that brain surgery they implanted a control device. What a lot of people don't realize was it was the Democrats who were helping the Russians elect Trump. Nobody liked Hilary anyway and everybody knew Trump would fall on his ass, so it was a win-win situation.

After the Trump luncheon, Senator Barasso was talking to Senator Murkowski and she basically told him if Barasso wanted Murkowski's vote then he should have been talking to her 3 months ago. I wish she would have just said that he could go f**k himself. I think he would have understood better.
So if we want better healthcare I think they need get rid of everyone in leadership over 75 like Pelosi and McConnell. All Pelosi and McConnell care about is power.
Trump clearly campaigned on creating better and cheaper healthcare. This bill did not do it and frankly nobody knew exactly what it did because there was only 2 hours of debate. McConnell is saying he is moving on when clearly he needs to get back to work and fix this thing.
The guy crying the most is Cruz who ran on repeal only and got his ass kicked by Trump. He is saying that they failed the American "people." Of course when Cruz says "People" they do not include we "Coastal Elites." And frankly, my whole life I wanted to be an "Elite." I think it started in first grade when I was a "Swamp Fox" and not a "Redcoat.". :).

Let's see if he listens.
Trump tweeted: "Unless the Republican Senators are total quitters, Repeal & Replace is not dead! Demand another vote before voting on any other bill!".

Trump tweeted: "Unless the Republican Senators are total quitters, Repeal & Replace is not dead! Demand another vote before voting on any other bill!".Continuing his misconception that legislators work for him, rather than for their constituents. He wants McC to nix the filibuster rule but does not understand that is not within McC's purview. Maybe we need for candidates to demonstrate basic knowledge of the US political system to qualify for the ballot. I don't see Dump scoring 70% on a high school American Government or US History final. I wonder if he could pass the citizenship test Melania (supposedly) passed.
Another vote on what, Donald? There is nothing out there to vote on!

Another vote on what, Donald? There is nothing out there to vote on!I not sure about your argument. I think there have been successful presidents in the past have set agendas and let others work out the details. Reagan is a good example of that style of presidency. We all know what the term "bully pulpit" means. Many criticisms of both Carter and Obama were that they got too involved in the details.
I really think it is McConnell who doesn't have a clue. He is a great parliamentarian. His great achievement is changing the rules to put non-mainstream judge on the Supreme Court. He was great in the opposition.
But now that he has to carry the ball on offense and all he seems to be able to do is fumble. Here is an article that expresses in better English my viewpoint. http://www.latimes.com/opinion/op-ed/la-oe-mcmanus-mcconnell-20170730-story.html.
I don't think the vote was against Repeal and Replace. I think it was a vote against the bill McConnell presented. Everybody in America knows that the healthcare system needs to fixed. Healthcare was screwed up before Obamacare. Healthcare is screwed up now. Trump ran on the platform that he was going to fix it. Trumpcare will probably be screwed up.
There are some ideas out there. One idea is a reinsurance market so the the insurers can off lay some risk. Alaska has one. You might get Murkowski's vote.
Second you might tell insurers if they are going to play in the Medicaid and Medicare markets, they have to provide on the exchanges. Medicare must be lucrative. I get about 3 or 4 junk mail flyers a week wanting me to sign up with their insurance. But putting a gun to the insurance company's heads is probably not the Republican way. However Sanders is probably going to propose to get rid of all the health insurers. So maybe there is a compromise to be had.
I wasn't making any particular argument other than there is no current live bill to "take another vote" on. I would say that regarding Reagan, you and I have very different definitions of the word "successful." He was certainly successful in paving the way for the plutocracy. But he fucked over my pension plan, so it's hard for me to be objective.

American politics, at this moment in time, are like cancer. Just like when Aaron Burr and Hamilton had their spat.
However, if you look at the American fervor, we (conservatives, as an economic force) are far more willing to fuck over American-hating organizations (like the NFL, DNC, Target, Disney and others) than are liberals (seeking vengeance on conservative owned businesses). Liberals only care about getting what they need as cheaply as possible. Liberals are people who lack conscience, ethics and poise. Therefore, if you continue to offer them what they want (in this case access to pussy) they will continue to subscribe. They have no ethos other than to have someone scratch the itch...
While I love WT69 (and will pay for his drinks anytime we are in the same locale) and will never be able to repay what he has done for me, I say screw liberal policies.

All you say about me is true. However, at least I am smart enough to vote against people that will raise my taxes. Not only are they taking away deductions, I am landing in a higher marginal tax rate. If the California Republicans in the House vote for this they are idiots or they are getting paid off in some way. They have enough votes to sink it. The congressmen have to be in at least as high of a tax bracket as myself.

He switched parties, because Putin can control the Republicans easier. If you watch the Frontline documentary on Trump and Clinton, Trump said the same things about Reagan as he said about Obama. His message has been very consistent for the past thirty years. It just resonates better now.
The 1988 election: The Trump Phenomenon begins.
In 1987, Trump toyed with the idea of running against George H.W. Bush for the Republican nomination. Mike Dunbar, a prominent Republican power player from Portsmouth, N.H., organized a “Draft Trump” effort earlier that summer. Media outlets drooled over the possibility of a Trump candidacy, running a series of articles on whether the billionaire would throw his hat in the race. Trump fueled the “will he or won’t he” frenzy, taking out advertisements in newspapers across the country. The ads lambasted President Reagan’s negotiations with OPEC and Japan, stating, “There’s nothing wrong with America’s Foreign Defense Policy that a little backbone can’t cure.”.
In October, Trump flew his private helicopter to New Hampshire, disembarking and then taking a stretch limousine to the Portsmouth Rotary Club. Five hundred dedicated supporters applauded Trump as he laid out his foreign policy platform: “Whatever Japan wants, do the opposite.” Trump lampooned America’s diplomatic efforts and emphasized that America should tax trade with the Asian economic powerhouse, remarking, “The Japanese, when they negotiate with us, they have long faces. But when the negotiations are over, it is my belief—and I’ve never seen this—they laugh like hell.” Trump made similar comments about Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, asserting, “They’re ripping us off left and right.” Although Trump told the crowd that he would not seek the nomination, he remained in the public limelight. In November, perhaps taking advantage of the media hype, he released his best-selling The Art of The Deal, which Trump famously dubbed his “second favorite book”, (next to the Bible, of course).
Trump continued to promote his protectionist tariffs in the months to come. Appearing on the Oprah Winfrey Show in April 1988, Trump affirmed, “I’d make our allies pay their fair share. We’re a debtor nation … you can’t keep going on losing $200 billion.” In typical Trump fashion, the billionaire blustered, “I have tremendous respect for the Japanese people. I mean, you can respect somebody that’s beating the hell out of you.” When Oprah, whom Trump has frequently called his preferred vice-presidential running mate, asked whether Trump was interested in ever running for president, he demurred, “Probably not.” Trump smiled, then went on to clarify, “I do get tired of seeing the country get ripped off … I think I’d win. I’ll tell you what: I wouldn’t go into lose.”.
Trump was a Democrat before he switched party. Read up on your history. That is common knowledge. Being a liberal often has nothing to do with political party affiliation, you should read up on your history.
Both McConnell and Ryan admitted today that they were flat out lying to the US public about their respective tax proposals. This is puzzling because in this day and age, if you say something for publication, it will definitely be vetted. So to say something like everybody will get a tax cut, or nobody's taxes will go up, seems fairly stupid to me. This is not particularly surprising given the stupidity of so many current Republicans. It seems to me that the Republicans were better liars back in the Reagan era than they are today.
Then you had these local Republican politicians in Alabama saying that it was okay to molest teenagers because when Joseph allegedly met Mary and they allegedly somehow immaculately gave birth to allegedly jesus, Mary was allegedly a teenager. Another local Republican politician said that even if Moore molested teenagers he would vote for him anyway.
I really don't know what to say but I think the Republicans are in some trouble going forward because they just don't seem to know how to lie very effectively any more. 30 or 40 years ago I would have said that Republicans were better at lying than Democrats but now I think the Democrats are better liars.
I am in an unidentified Spanish-speaking country right now. Went to a gringo-owned bar that is also popular with locals. The owner was pushing T-shirts saying 'Donald es un pendejo.' No, it actually isn't. So finally I told her, 'I would be completely embarrassed to wear that shirt in public.' She went from zero to b!tch in about three seconds and snarled, 'Why? Because you are a Trump supporter?'

They were talking to people who want to believe what they were saying. And more importantly they were talking to people who get all of their "news" from Fox and Rush.
Bob.
I don't doubt that you are right but could you explain why the grammar is incorrect? Thanks, Bob.Certainly. In Spanish, the definite article (the) is used much more frequently than in English. Compare 'Me gustan los perros' (definite article required) to 'I like dogs.' No native speaker of English is going to say, 'I like the dogs,' when just referring to dogs in general.
In contrast, the indefinite article (a, an, some) is used much less frequently in Spanish than in English. Specifically, if a noun is unmodified, the indefinite article is not used. In the T-shirt, the noun 'pendejo' is not modified by an adjective. He is just a dumbass, not a great big dumbass, or a fucking dumbass, or a fat dumbass.
So, you could say, 'Él es pendejo,' or you could say, 'Él es un pendejo inmenso.' But, you cannot say 'Él es un pendejo.'
Trump es pendejo. Trump es muy pendejo. Trump es un pendejo gordo estúpido de mierda. In the latter case, you have adjectives modifying the noun, so you need the indefinite article.
Now, would some native speakers of Spanish say what the T-shirt said? Sure, just as many native speakers of English will say things like 'If I was you,' 'me and him went to the store,' or 'between you and I.' All of those are incorrect and all of us have heard them hundreds of times. Similarly, 'Hablo español' is incorrect because the definite article is required, but you never hear 'Hablo el español,' (except from me) as one of my profesoras acknowledged without being able to explain why.
Most native speakers of English probably can't explain why 'if I were you' is always incorrect. Right?
Daddy Rulz

Most native speakers of English probably can't explain why 'if I were you' is always incorrect. Right? And if it was anybody except you I would doubt that this statement was correct. I have long since learned not to question you on the subject of grammar.
For one thing you could never be me lol. For another, were is plural (If I was you is correct).
Most native speakers of English probably can't explain why 'if I were you' is always incorrect. Right?.
Oh shit. I fucked that all up. What I meant to write was, "Most native speakers of English probably can't explain why 'if I was you' is always incorrect.".
"If I was you" is always incorrect. It has to be "If I were you," because since as JB pointed out, I can never be you and vice versa. Therefore we have a "contrary to fact condition," and that requires the use of the subjunctive mood in both Spanish (where it requires the imperfect subjunctive as in 'yo si fuera vos') and English. In English the present subjunctive, both singular and plural, would be 'were' and the past form would be 'had been.' In the indicative mood, 'were' is indeed plural.
That was a pretty bad typo on my part. I apologize profusely and will now take myself outside and slap myself around some.
Fuck me.

http://www.cnn.com/2017/11/16/us/keystone-pipeline-leak/index.html
It is a good reason to have one large pipeline in a remote area as opposed to having more smaller pipelines somewhere more significant. Much less impact than many alternatives when all is said and done. Basically spills somewhere are an unavoidable part of driving cars as opposed to riding in horse and buggy. An unavoidable part of having plastic as opposed to making everything from wood or animal hides. There are not enough tears to cry if you worry about every industrial accident lol. It seems unlikely that choice of political leader would change that. Anyway back to pussy.

This video was selective and not a real representation of what the oil and gas work in North Dakota is like. Yes, some of the things she said and the pictures of the housing are true but it is in the minority. The wages are much higher than she let on. She said she made more money where she came from. If that is true why doesnt she go back there? Generally, wages are much higher in areas that are experiencing Boom Time conditions and harsh work and living environments. Thats why there is such a migration of workers. When the area has this type of influx of people the infrastructure in place cannot immediately accommodate the mass. Which makes living conditions somewhat less than desirable. There is never an immediate fix for this problem. During the same period of time the same was going on the Neuqun province due to Oil & Gas work. If you believe 100% of what she is saying you are naive to the real world.

Trump, among other things, is not a student of history or economics. Probably the one thing that led to the Hoover Depression (Hoover started it and Roosevelt made it great) was the Smoot-Hawley tariff act. As usual it was assumed that the act would simply bring in more revenue and there would be no unintended consequences. And as usual they were wrong. Trump, because of his deal making ability, will not have any of these unintended consequences.
As a side note, in the 1928 elections in Germany the Nazi party received about 2.5% of the vote and was in shambles. Hitler's plan to gain power by the ballot box rather than by force was a failure, times were good, thanks to US loans, and his message fell on deaf ears. Then came the Depression, the US recalled the loans and the Germany economy collapsed. Another election was called in 1930 and now Hitler was regarded as a prophet and the Nazi's got over 40% of the vote.
At least this is the way I remember it, but then maybe my memory is no longer accurate due to my advanced years.
Don B.
Shockingly, I agree with Don B. Smoot-Hawley could have been the worst piece of legislation in the entire 20th century, and although the depression had myriad causes (90% margin on stocks was another big one), I would also point to S-H as the most important single cause. Trump is poorly and narrowly educated in general in comparison to most recent presidents. Clinton studied economics at Oxford for a while, and Bush I majored in it and was Phi Beta Kappa. Trump has his head up his ass, and needs to read Ricardo on comparative advantage, as well as Adam Smith's Treatise on Silver, which is probably the second-hardest thing I ever worked my through. The hardest thing I ever read, took me six months, was Don Quijote in the original early seventeenth century Spanish.
Oh, and Donald, I mean David Ricardo and not Ricky Ricardo.

I'd be more inclined to reply in an educated manner to a post that demonstrated some education, such as proper capitalization, use of coherent paragraphs, spelling presidential candidates' names correctly, and not hitting the return key at the end of every sentence. So to reply in a somewhat less educated fashion, you are an ignorant, uneducated, racist pimp and I am quite glad that you were deported from my native country back to your native country. You are an intelligent person who has fucked up his life on two continents. You are a person who has the skills to be gainfully employed but who chooses to live off the charity of relatives and by pimping. So isn't that a form of socialism? The strong subsidizing the weak? Your family letting you live rent free because you are too lazy to work? You say this about communism being the source of all problems and you don't know Karl Marx from Groucho Marx.

What a Mother Fucker!Even though it is a financial hit, I wouldn't worry about McCabe. He will get his pension eventually. He will probably just have to wait until he is 62 to begin receiving it. He will also be hired for a six figure job by someone else. What he will not be able to do like many other civil servants is double dip. Start receiving his pension while he is working at another high paying job. I know one guy that triple dipped. High ranking police officer for a major metropolis, police chief at small suburban city and then appointed a traffic court judge which I think is at the County level.

You will not hurt my feelings. I think the Trump's followers get more mileage talking about these fantasies than actually doing anything.
I recommend everybody immunize their portfolio against craziness for the next 6 years. Actually I only did three years but I think Trump will win again. . It cost me a bunch of money as insurance usually does but at least you do not need to worry about the day-to-day craziness and you will have money to travel and monger.
How did you 'immunize' your portfolio? Futures contracts? Put options on the individual securities? I moved some money in my non-taxable accounts into a 'Fuck Trump' fund, to shorter term and more conservative bond funds, based on how very, very much my equities had risen under the sane and sensible guidance of Mr. Obama, the 'Mulatto Messiah.'.

I moved some money in my non-taxable accounts into a 'Fuck Trump' fund, to shorter term and more conservative bond funds, based on how very, very much my equities had risen under the sane and sensible guidance of Mr. Obama, the 'Mulatto Messiah.'.I am not even bothering with the short-term bonds. I just tried to figure out every major expense that I would have over the next three years and raised the cash in January. It includes cash for a house remodel, new car, brother's, going on 18 years, drunken binge in Bangkok, private school tuition for a daughter of one of our friends etc. The cost was that I used up all my capital gains tax loss carry forwards that I hoarded since the 2008 recession. I hope I am wrong. I still make money if the market goes up just not as much as I would with my normal allocation to cash.
Immunize is not what I did although it was what I thought about when i initiated my action. I would have to go back to the old Finance text books to remember the correct way to immunize and I am not that into it any more. I haven't bought or sold an option since 2005. I will lose net worth on paper if the market crashes but hopefully I can outlast it. I think my strategy is better called "playing it safe.".
OK, thanks for the info. Using up capital losses is always a sound strategy, even if you just rinse the loss and buy back the same stocks after the 60 days are up. I, however, sold nothing in 2009. I bought my ass off and it paid off so much, I was able to retire five years earlier than I had planned to. I shifted enough money into the short- to intermediate-term paper to cover my expenses until Dump's first (and last, IMO) term is over. I do not personally believe in any form of market timing so all I did was shorten the duration of my bond portfolio. Assholes come and go but the road to wealth will always be paved with equities.
As you probably know, during a bull market in bonds, because the long-term bonds go up in value proportionately more than the short-term bonds, it leads to an increase in the duration of the bond portfolio, so this action on my part corrected that. Plus, just as I am on a 'glide path' with stocks where I reduce my allocation to equities by one percentage point every year, I am on a duration 'glide path' where I reduce my duration by 0.1 years every year.
But also, fuck Trump.

The truly frightening thing here is not that some stupid young woman is going to drink herself in to a stupor far away from home in a stranger's house and then get "assaulted". Even if true, it's basically her own stupidity, she could have avoided the entire situation by not disobeying her parents and going to a party in some guy's house with no chaperone, not drinking underage or going to a party with alcohol, not driving somewhere without a license, putting herself in a position where she is disobeying her parents and the law. No, I think the far more scary thing is a man can have his entire career and his family life and his hobbies etc destroyed by one woman who simply doesn't like him and made up a story. Even if she is a woman who doesn't like him and telling a true story from 30 years ago which she kept quiet until she decided she didn't like him, it simply isn't fair. How can he, or you, or I, avoid this situation? Spend an entire life making sure irrational, emotional, treacherous women are always 100% happy with everything we do or say? This is the real concern on my mind, not the regrets of a foolish woman. I am far more concerned about my own freedom to live life without fear some stupid woman could make up a fake story and ruin my life with no evidence.
I am far more concerned about my own freedom to live life without fear some stupid woman could make up a fake story and ruin my life with no evidence.Immaturity--It seems to me that many pundits and other commentators have made the immaturity argument for BOTH sides. I know that I did some very stupid things when I was young, and even stupider things when I was young and drunk. HOWEVER, I never aspired to be a Supreme Court justice. I think that the more disqualifying factor is that Kavenaugh has NO trial experience. The lack of trial experience should have been a disqualifying factor when he was nominated to a lower court. If it had been, we could have avoided this circus and divisiveness altogether.
My dos centavos worth.
I did not mention immaturity, the problem is that passage of time is unfair to someone's defense. More importantly, it's unfair that men's lives can be ruined by women's allegations when women are not required to present any evidence.

Even if he did what she said he did, in 1982 in Chevy Chase, MD, the cops would have laughed them out of the police department. However, while she may very well have been assaulted that summer, I sincerely doubt that it was Kavanaugh doing the assaulting.
Eye witnesses are notoriously unreliable. In 70% of the "DNA cases" (The Innocence Project, et al) that have been overturned in the USA (on DNA evidence), there were eye witnesses swearing that the wrongly-convicted person was the perpetrator. I don't doubt that she was assaulted, but in the ensuing 30+ years, she either unintentionally, or intentionally, misidentified her attacker to be Kavanaugh.
Interestingly, I am about the same age as both of them. I have friends that were at school with them. That area (NW DC out to Potomac, MD) was home to some serious partying and the fastest and loosest high school girls in the USA. Many of my friends in the area were in rehab, before graduating high school. When I was a junior in HS, my dad (total straight shooter, never cheated on my mom in nearly 60 years) sat me down to talk about women. Not about fucking them or the birds and the bees, but protecting oneself from women, not with rubbers, but from being wrongfully accused of sexual misdeeds or getting trapped into a relationship by some psycho chick. He was a doctor and he never, ever saw female patients without a staff member in the room. This was the 1980s, nobody was thinking like that, but he was. He told me that whenever possible, avoid "He said, she said" situations (I didn't point out that is extremely difficult when you are trying to get laid). There are countless doctors who have been extorted out of lots of money by female patients who say "I don't know what happened, but when I woke up my blouse was askew and my vajayjay hurt."
When things get political, all sense of reason and propriety gets tossed out of the window. It is the most important time to remember a few very important facts, we are a society of which some of the fundamental tenets are the presumption of innocence and the right to due process. It is a Constitutional right to confront one's accusers and witnesses against him/her. In this case, there is no crime, there is one witness (Ford) who says the crime happened and four witnesses who absolutely refute that. There is no evidence, there are no facts (no location, no time the crime occurred, no contemporaneous facts that could help place things). Whether or not one wants Kavanaugh on the SCOTUS, I think that we can all agree that he has been unfairly smeared by claims that cannot be substantiated and therefore never should have been made public.
I am not saying that Dr. Ford was not assaulted. I am saying that there is nothing about her claims that can be substantiated and therefore they are just gossip and rumors. Gossip and rumors should not ruin a man or woman's life.
I do not oppose Judge Kavenaugh because of something that might have occurred when he was a teenager. I oppose the nomination to a judgeship of any lawyer who does not have trial experience. Lawyers specialize in many aspects of the law. A good litigator specializes in trying cases in a courtroom. How is someone going to be a good judge, if that person has never been in a courtroom facing a judge? It does not matter whether or not that judge is a justice of the peace, or a Supreme Court Justice. An attorney must start somewhere. Kavenaugh, and others, are political appointments who should have never donned a judge's robes because they had no trial experience. No one should be surprised that the nomination has become a partisan political circus. Experience is a prerequisite for virtually every profession extant.
I agree that Kavanaugh should not have to deal with a smear campaign, whether he did it or not, but I also don't believe that anything happened to Blasey her performance to me seemed well coached but completely dishonest. If we are to "believe women" they have ridiculous statistics, one in three women have been assaulted and 70% don't report assaults or basically they are trying to say all women are assaulted and all men are assaulters. The logical conclusion, were this to be true, is we would have to throw all men in jail, so the judges would have to convict themselves and the cops would have to lock themselves up etc. I guess upon puberty we would all just to have to choose our first and last rape date before going off to jail. Basically the USA is the safest place in the world for women, but quite dangerous for men, as Wild Walleye points out. But I think the real culprits are not women, who we expect to use lies and tears to control us, but voters who want to be tough on crime and like to elect prosecutors with a history of convicting so-called rapists. These prosecutors are looking for any case to fry a man in order to get a more impressive rape conviction resume with voters. If we voted for prosecutors with histories of frying perjurers, then there would be a motive for prosecutors to go after the women who make up the lies. But of course no prosecutor wants a resume of frying crying women.

Not all lawyers specialize in trial law, if I was on trial for murder for example I would want a lawyer specialized in criminal trial law, for example, an ex prosecutor who knows how the prosecution in that jurisdiction handles crimes of that nature. If I was convicted I would want one who specializes in appeals, if I was getting divorced I would want a family law specialist etc. But there are also lawyers in entertainment law, real estate, constitutional law, etc. Kavanaugh had experience in appellate law (he is in fact a sitting appellate judge) which seems more important for being on the supreme court than trial law, besides some of the most controversial appellate reviews are not about crimes like murder which is pretty cut and dried they are about social issues.

.You missed my point. To reach the appellate level, a judge should go through the trial (District Court) level first. A trial judge is a fact finder who tries all sorts of cases, not just murder or other crimes. These cases are brought by many different legal specialties. The common thread is litigation before a judge. How can a person be a good judge without litigation experience? The facts and cases may be different, but a trial before a judge is still a trial before a judge. If you know of a law school with a class on "How to be a Good Judge", please enlighten me. Kavenaugh reached an appellette judgeship through the political process, not the judicial process. He is not alone.
There are plenty of trial judges who don't know jack about the law, and spend their whole careers never learning, because in fact the lawyers educate the judge on the specific law pertaining to individual cases, because one lawyer cant know everything, and laws change with time. Graduation from law school is not even a requirement to be a judge in many jurisdictions. They are political appointees chosen by voters or chosen by representatives who were chosen by voters because it is we the people (not the law schools) who govern the country through our elected officials. Your argument is based solely in opinion not fact. You be a good judge by doing the things which cause the people who put you in your job to keep you there. The judge's legal clerk and the parties' lawyers must scurry around figuring out the law.

.It's good to see a lively conversation about she said he said.
What IF the Judge kid tells the FBI that it was him instead of Kavanaugh that juped the Ford girl.......goes like this.
Kavanaugh and judge go up the stairs, Kavanaugh says he has to take a shit down the hallway, judge waits upstairs (drunk like a 17 year old) she comes up the stairs and one thing leads to another and he goes for it and pushes her into the bedroom on the bed, he jumps on and they eventually roll off the bed and she screams. Kavanaugh comes out of the bathroom and hears a scream and enters the bedroom and see judge on top of her. Kavanaugh grabs him from behind and they leave the bedroom and they go downstairs. Assuming boys will be boys (after all, nobody got brutally raped) they forgot about. Kavanaugh would have never known to this day who the girl was.
Maybe Kavanaugh should say he is gay and it was him and Judge that were making out. It would destroy Blasey's story, and the left would be pleased as punch to have a gay judge.
...drunk like a 17 year old...
lol@ drunk like a 17 year old. Maybe I should run for supreme court judge. Because I never saw excitement like this in my high school. To be honest I simply can't believe these guys were running a gang rape chain.

Yeah, the swetnick chick is a fucking complete nut job.
Metoo.... I went to a Catholic high school, we had a handful of drunk/stoners guys. Not sure if there were any guys molested, most of the whispers were related to priests banging the nuns. I remember a couple nuns taking a sabbatical to South America and looking thinner when they returned. Back then Christian orphanages came in handy.

Kavanaugh would have never known to this day who the girl was. There was a report that two men had made statements to the committee, stating that they were the two men who had been involved with the Ford incident. It popped up on buzzfed, drudge and a couple other sites on Thrus/fri and then disappeared. I suspect that she had an encounter like the one she described in the late '80s (her first story) and morphed it to fit the narrative that it was Kavanaugh.
As for lively political debate on this site...well, I have been on sabbatical...
Apart from the several alleged sexual assaults, I'd say the main reason he's unsuitable for this office is his blatant political partisanship displayed to full effect during the hearing. Plus his near hysterical behaviour and references to the Democrats funding her legal expenses (her lawyers had already said that they were working pro bono). He'd be an embarrassment to the court and to the country.
Just because he's going to be on the supreme court doesn't mean he has to lay down while people walk over him. He has a right to be upset about false claims levelled at him. You know if he had not been passionate about his own defense someone would have said he seems guilty because he just sat there without reacting. His outburst was hardly hysterical though, it was merely passionate, and probably planned in advance. Those lawyers most certainly are not pro-bono, they are hired guns of the Dimocrats. Pretty sure they will be the targets of ethics complaints for lying about that.

The Republicans will say or do anything to get this nomination through.
Bromvich and Katz each have long histories as Democrat partisans, they were recommended by Feinstein, they are being funded through GoFundMe sites, which is just redirecting the payments from Democrat money bags. It may be hard to trace the finances of Blasey's lawyers, however certainly not pro bono lawyers helping the poor out of civic duty: Blasey didn't file any papers in court to get free counsel due to being indigent. Blasey didn't even know who paid for her lawyers or polygraph which seems absurd she very well knew it was funded by unnamed Democrat supporters and was not pro bono. As for lying, her lawyers were dishonest about her "fear of flying" and about telling her that the committee had agreed to fly out to California. Of course the bar is against Kavanaugh, so an ethics complaint that would go through the bar might not accomplish much.
Dinner in BsAs right now costs under $5 so that is not really worth much

Maybe sums over $10,000 are subject to mandatory reporting. I am sure there are numerous donations in the $9600 range seems to be a safe amount chosen to avoid mandatory reporting at $10,000 and heightened scrutiny for amounts of 9,999 etc. It's one of those grey areas where these lawyers are being dishonest in saying it is pro bono, I am pretty sure they can guess where the money comes from, but they have plausible deniability they can claim they don't know who individual donors are. Basically the Democrat representatives could deny confirmation of Kavanaugh for any reason they like, if they had sufficient votes, but because they don't have enough votes, they are doing this completely unacceptable smear campaign, relying on crocodile tears of ridiculous lying women who can smear him with false allegations without a shred of evidence, or trying to goad Kavanaugh in to some type of reaction (such as the emotional theatrics SteveC mentioned) to give them some other excuse to derail the nomination. I would think the members of this forum would be very worried about metoo, even if you don't like Kavanaugh, any woman you meet alone could accuse you. Imagine if some chica figures out you're an important person, then threatens to report you for "abuse" if you don't pay her off, the investigation would reveal you paid for sex, which would subject you to possible legal action in the USA, you would be stuck between a rock and a hard spot. This metoo movement is dangerous to every man. Seems like another man who has himself been damaged by metoo is a good man to have on the highest court to reign in this craziness.

As for "This metoo movement is dangerous to every man", that is just ridiculous. I personally know of three women that were sexually assaulted by men in authority over them and were intimidated in various ways to keep silent. I think to deny the power that powerful men have had over women is closing your eyes to reality.
As for proving that her lawyers didn't work pro bono, as you say yourself, "It may be hard to trace the finances of Blasey's lawyers", but if you do I'm sure that I can do better than $5 dollars for a dinner.
And some more strong reasons for opposing the nomination. The first time WaPo has opposed a SCOTUS nomination since Bork.

You know three women who claim to have been assaulted. I know three women who claim to have been assaulted also, and I am quite convinced all three are liars: Ford, Ramirez, and Swetnik. We all watched the interview where Ford lied her pants off making contradictory statements. I won't get in to the lies of Ramirez and Swetnik because they are not even worth addressing. It seems that there is no intimidation of women even when they are obviously lying to keep quiet, because prosecutors simply won't go after a crying woman for perjury. There is simply no country where women are more free to speak their minds, including lying with impunity under oath, than the United States. But who really cares if an alleged assaulter gets off scott free. Real criminals go free, and the innocent are jailed every day due to prosecutorial misconduct. How does that harm you in the least? However, if you are the subject of a false accusation, you are assumed to be guilty, and suffer tremendously even if you are proven innocent. That is the reality that matters. What we see is many gold-diggers taking advantage of their ability to enrich themselves by attacking rich and powerful men with crocodile tears, that is the reality. If you're paying women to have sex with you, then these people would say you're assaulting women because the women are forced from economic necessity to have sex against their will. Of course we all know this is untrue, we have all heard the screams of bliss of happy h00kers and observed them skipping home joyously with our money in their pockets. But anyone of them could falsely accuse you of assault, and your reputation would be destroyed, because it would be reported you were "trafficking" women, even if you somehow beat the assault charge. I would like to hear how you explain to these three women who you claim to know that you were just helping a poor women feed her fatherless children or something and weren't "trafficking"

.The limiting number on the GoFundMe is probably the Gift Tax. GoFundMe is self-reporting. Usually you can see the list of names of people that have donated. Of course, it does not stop people from using fake names.
You bring up an interesting question. Do banks have to report to the Feds all domestic transactions over $10k. My understanding is that they have to report all foreign transactions over $10k. Does anyone here know?
I think the only real difference I have with Kavanaugh is his stance on abortion. I would assume most members of this Board are pro abortion rights. Otherwise he votes 95% of the time with Garland on the Appeals court. I was not against Garland.
Since most abortions are done with pills these days, I doubt getting Roe vs Wade overturned will have much affect on the number of abortions in the USA. Women will just not have a right to privacy about her abortion if Roe vs Wade is overturned. Before Roe vs Wade there all kinds of mechanisms to get an abortion. With the pills, it will be even easier to subvert law. I doubt the USA puts anyone to death for performing abortions like the Germans did in the 1940s. A movie I watched that told the story is "The Story of Women." Actually this one was in France not Germany. I can't find it for free. Here is the intro from a TV show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdTlV8TmcTI&list=PLQiuBWj5dGHQGlEcMbitCWOD3TOVmLLzf.

Since I was interested I did my own Google search. All domestic cash transactions over $10k need to be reported. All transactions with a foreign entity over $10k, cash or otherwise, need to be reported. I did a quick overview so I hope I am stating it correctly.
I don't believe it is limited to cash, domestic transactions over $10,000 are also automatically reported by banks. Rest assured multiple transactions just below the $10,000 ceiling will also be scrutinized.

I agree, abortion is the main reason he is disliked by the left. Personally I don't agree with abortion, but that issue doesn't cause me to support or not support Kavanaugh, because abortion really doesn't affect my day to day life, although I find it just as upsetting as any other type of murder. I see abortion as being a part of a raft of pro-woman laws which allow women to basically get away with murder. You can be guaranteed if a woman murders you, she will claim it was self defense or claim you abused her, and probably feels like crying in court will allow her to skate. The same way women are not punished for false accusations, it encourages them to make false accusations because they have nothing to lose. I do see these type things affecting all of our lives, we are all just one angry woman away from ruined reputations, jail, or worse. I really don't have much sympathy for women who go out drinking and fall asleep in a stranger's house and the next day want to make it go away by saying they were assaulted, and I am convinced that in most cases they lie about what happened due to not wanting to look like a wh0re, or being angry the guy was only looking for casual sex.
...the only real difference I have with Kavanaugh is his stance on abortion... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdTlV8TmcTI&list=PLQiuBWj5dGHQGlEcMbitCWOD3TOVmLLzf..

.So if you got a prostitute pregnant, you would not want her to have an abortion? I definitely would want the abortion. I have no qualms about it.
It is very possible the wh0re would keep the baby despite your wishes and still make you pay child support and there is nothing you can do about it. But then if it was a child you wanted to keep, in the USA, the mother could kill it and there would be nothing you can do about that either. I think the father should have just as much say in the fate of the fetus as the mother, this however is obviously not the case, the woman, or the government, can weigh in, you and I cannot. It would be great for example if you had the right to tell the woman you want an abortion, and if she refuses, you would not be responsible for child support. So ultimately it is not the question of abortion, but the question of men's rights in this matter. The father should have an equal say as the mother. Personally I think it is murder, I could not do it, not to my child, but what you do to your baby is your business.
So if you got a prostitute pregnant, you would not want her to have an abortion? I definitely would want the abortion. I have no qualms about it..
We are all subject to laws. Statutory and common. Who makes the statutory laws-an ELECTED MAJORITY of the Congress and 50 State Legislatures. Who constitutes this majority-over 50 WHITE men. A woman should have the right to choose what she does with her body. Abortion is terrible, but old, white men should not sit in judgement of what a woman does with her body. We have ROE vs WADE because old white men attempted to tell a woman what she could do with her body. If an unmarried man does not want to pay child support, he should either wear a condom or keep his dick in his pants.
Let me digest what you have just said... The elected majority of the congress make the laws... Except if the elected majority are old, white men. Or if the law concerns women's bodies. In which case only women can make the law. Hmmm. Just wondering if we must have male lawmakers make the law when it is a male fetus being aborted. Anyway. So what type of laws do you think these women would make about the female prostitutes you have sex with? What if these female lawmakers decided that sex with a prostitute is sexual assault because the woman's financial situation makes her unable to consent to paid sex? Are you going to report to the nearest police station to make yourself subject to the law? Oh wait. International travel for the purpose of paid sex is already illegal. I guess you will have to report to the nearest police station so this law (no doubt proposed by women) can be applied to you.

.That sounds strange JB since prostitution is not illegal in the US. It is illegal in all states except for Nevada, where it is illegal in most, but not all, counties. Can you cite any laws?
Bob.
I would describe the USA as a country where prostitution is for all intents and purposes illegal, the tiny number of tightly controlled legal brothels in rural Nevada are an anomaly. You can't legally pick up a street walker, or hook up with a backpage girl, anywhere in the USA. If you are a US person and travel between states or outside the country, federal law applies. Section 1591 of Title 18 USC outlaws "sex trafficking activities that affect interstate or foreign commerce". Right now it seems the only prosecutions of johns are age related. But you know as well as I do that today the definition of "sex trafficking" in common parlance includes any type of prostitution, regardless how old or how willing the prostitute is. At any time, someone could use the current law to crusade against Americans who go overseas to have sex with prostitutes.

Regardless your politics, regardless if there are some politicians on the left in the USA who are doing great things, or some on the right who you don't like, the left, and the whole country to a certain degree, is at the mercy of a bunch of rabid feminazis, eventually they will start screaming to prosecute American men who travel overseas for sex tourism, and no politician, on the left or the right, will stand in their way to defend your freedom to travel abroad and engage in sex tourism. There is simply no benefit to any man in encouraging women to make up stories about imaginary sexual assaults. If you enjoy mongering, I highly recommend finding a way to retire abroad!

I personally know of three women that were sexually assaulted by men in authority over them and were intimidated in various ways to keep silent.
Obviously untrue, they were not intimidated to keep silent. They told you about it. They probably told everyone about it, except the police. Because all they want is sympathy and attention not "justice" because they know as well as you and I know that it was all bs and would not stand up in court. It's never a defense to a crime to complain that someone else who committed the same crime hasn't been prosecuted. Prosecutors generally have broad discretion of who to prosecute, because they have insufficient resources to prosecute everyone. Although I would love to see Hilary locked up, there probably are better uses of the government's resources. Besides having Hilary around is actually benefiting Trump if you ask me, because Hilary probably wouldn't make today's Dimocrats happy, but she is still a big name and popular with many, so she serves to fracture their base. Trump already beat her, and so did Obama, she's just not ever going to be a serious contender.

Actually, the people who hate Trump are the yellow media. Then they publish a bunch of lies, half-truths, and misrepresentations in order to cause the uninformed to also hate him. A majority of people who aren't poor, transgendered, gay, minority, immigrant women of color do like Trump. Those are all of the special interest groups who stand to loose handouts when America becomes great again.
WT69, did you read this article? Don't you realize the SJW brigade attacks Trump in order to get publicity? They don't bring effigies of Putin or the sultan of Saudi Arabia. Those leaders poison people with uranium and cut people up in to pieces and dissolve them in acid. None of this matters to the new left, because no one cares if Russians and Arabs dissolve each other in acid or melt each other with plutonium.

Surely you are familiar with the photo of a Honduran woman who was supposedly shot at with tear gas while she happened to be innocently loitering near the border fence. "runs from tear gas with her twin daughters in front of the border wall " says the caption. Elsewhere in the article it says "woman looks back at the smoke from the tear gas theyre trying to escape" (obviously though the woman is looking off to the left and bottom of the photo, not at the tear gas that is more to the right and top of the photo).
However if you look at the photo, the direction the woman was running, the way the wind is blowing, you can see she ran from the direction of the fence towards, and passing the tear gas on her way somewhere else. So this gas was not shot "at" her. The woman has shoes, and doesn't care that these children are barefoot, or wearing flip flops they obviously can't run in. This woman purposely put these children in a dangerous situation.
However if you look at the articles about this incident, the media implies Trump was responsible for tear gas being "shot at" these children.
If you look at the kid after the picture with the tear gas, when the kid had no whiffle ball, somehow the kid managed to pick up a plastic ball, and has its fingers stuck in the ball. It's crying because of the whiffle ball situation, either it can't get its fingers out, or wants the ball, or something, but not choking on tear gas.
If you have ever been exposed to tear gas (I have, as part of military training, and the training anyone who shoots tear gas goes through) you are blinded, gagging and have trails of snot and saliva out your mouth after that, you aren't running or picking up whiffle balls.
And aren't the kids a little old for diapers???
This coverage of the migrants has been complete bs.
The way they are always on trucks unless a camera is around, or the way they are basically all young men, until a camera comes around, when they drag out few kids, then place the kids in harms way in the hopes they can blame Trump for any injury to the children.
Basically these people would throw their kids on top of barbwire and then run over the kids' backs to get in to the USA. The border patrol is doing its best to keep the border safe while not injuring children who the adult migrants are basically using as human shields.
These are child abusers no two ways about it. This is the yellow media for you. Protecting child abusers in the hopes to be able to say something bad about Trump.

Can you give us a few examples of these lies and half truths? I'm sure I can match each of them with 10 of the same from the serial liar Trump himself. Its just a matter of time that the list of Trump's crew either indicted or in gaol starts to include his inner circle."CNN reporter Manu Raju falsely reported that Donald Trump, Jr. Had advanced access to the hacked WikiLeaks documents. CNN anchor Chris Cuomo falsely asserted that only the media could download the hacked emails of John Podesta—as if it was illegal for others to do the same. Why did Thomas Frank, Eric Lichtblau, and Lex Haris resign from CNN over their false reporting that Anthony Scaramucci was connected to a $10 billion Russian investment fund? Did not CNN erroneously and serially report that former FBI Director James Comey would contradict President Trump’s assertion that he was told by Comey that he was not under investigation? All this from a network whose panelists and hosts have variously held up a decapitated head of Donald Trump, claimed on air that he was a piece of sh*t, talked about a “dump” on a panelist desk not bothering a Trump supporter, mused about poisoning him, and invoked Nazi imagery to characterize him. CNN staffers were hot micced kidding about his plane crashing, while Donna Brazile repeatedly lied about giving a debate question in advance to Hillary Clinton. One network, and just a tiny sampling of fake news, bias, and obscenity / scatology.".
Lies are expected from government employees and politicians, the media is supposed to report facts. The first time a government employee lied to me was in the summer of 1936 and it has been downhill since then.

Apart from the jury being out on Junior, that's all to come out yet, I'll accept those you mentioned, fair enough.
Here's a few hundred of Trump's lies, not even a definitive list, he adds to them every day. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/06/23/opinion/trumps-lies.html.
And we do expect politicians to lie, but that doesn't excuse them when they do. He's just so prolific its beyond belief.
Just a few of his lies on the economy.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2018/09/07/president-trumps-repeated-claim-greatest-economy-history-our-country/?utm_term=.0ac7acbc52b2
I think this is the problem with dishonesty in the media, is they present Trump as being prolific beyond belief as you say, when in fact Trump is only doing the things he must do in order to run a complicated organization such as his multinational businesses or the USA itself. We completely expect politicians to lie, on the other hand, dishonesty in the media is so rampant today that no one takes them as serious news, it is just entertainment. Once you remove the lies and half-truths, the media just keeps saying Trump, Trump, Trump. If anything the left is more enthralled by Trump than the right. You seem to agree the media is dishonest so we are not really even arguing about anything at this point. I believe that even were the media 100% honest, you would still dislike Trump, you just wouldn't watch the news as much haha

.Are you kidding me? Trump is 'prolific beyond belief' with his lies, I showed that to you. If you don't think so, just pick out one of the lies that I showed you and tell me why it isn't a lie. And as for running a complicated organization such as his multinational businesses, he shouldn't be touching them while he's president. Another sign of his corruption. And you don't answer my point. Shouldn't we hold our politicians, especially presidents, to a higher standard? If you don't think so, this is a fruitless argument. He should be an example to the country, but he's a lazy, immoral, lying, cheat with no loyalty to anyone or anything apart from himself. Take off your blinkers and see him for what he really is. Even most of my conservative friends, and some of them are very, very conservative, are now disgusted at him and consider him to be a threat to democracy. "When the speech condemns the free press, you are hearing the words of a tyrant". Thomas Jefferson. I'll leave the last comment to you. He's going to gaol, plus his family. Let's talk then.
Are you kidding me? Trump is 'prolific beyond belief' with his lies, I showed that to you.We already established that the media lies, you showed me links to lies from the media, don't see how it proves anything...
If you don't think so, just pick out one of the lies that I showed you and tell me why it isn't a lie.We already agreed the media fabrications insinuating Trump was responsible for targeting migrant children with tear gas was untrue. As for your new link, it says this "Feb. 3 Professional anarchists, thugs and paid protesters are proving the point of the millions of people who voted to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! (There is no evidence of paid protesters.) " Well, NYT seems to agree with Trump that professional anarchists and thugs were present, but only says NYT couldn't find evidence of paid protesters. In other words, NYT says they CAN"T prove Trump lied about anything, and in fact they proved he was right about two of three. The fact NYT can't find evidence points more to their poor investigative ability and blindness to facts that don't fit their agenda (i.e. bias) than Trump's honesty. Remember Trump has the secret service and all the other intelligence agencies of the USA searching for possible threats so seems he has information the NYT doesn't.
And as for running a complicated organization such as his multinational businesses, he shouldn't be touching them while he's president.
It is your opinion there is a problem with Trump having multinational businesses, not a law.
And you don't answer my point. Shouldn't we hold our politicians, especially presidents, to a higher standard? He should be held to the same standard as other presidents. If anything, executive privilege means that our highest level politicians have lower legal standards than the rest of us.
If you don't think so, this is a fruitless argument. He should be an example to the country, but he's a lazy, immoral, lying, cheat with no loyalty to anyone or anything apart from himself.
He isn't lazy that is for sure. Morality is a relative term, he is no more immoral than other high level politicians. He has considerable loyalty to allies when all others abandon them (Saudi Arabia for example), his family (the left is always complaining about this), and he has pardoned a number of people he felt were destroyed because of their loyalty to him. While you on the left may be unhappy with him, a majority of the right feel Trump has kept his campaign promises or tried very hard to do so (Trump's continuing effort to build the wall for example).
There isn't any need to reply to all your comments, since already we see your arguments have more holes than Swiss cheeze.

Ok, this link, Washington Post, gives this as Trump's "most repeated claim".
There was no collusion. There was never any collusion..
Here is WP's so-called "fact check":
"The special counsel investigation into potential collusion between Russia and Trump's campaign and obstruction of justice continues, and no conclusions have been announced".
So, what WP is saying here is that neither they or the special counsel, which has spent millions of dollars and thousands of hours in investigation, are able to prove that Trump's claim is untrue. There is no proof of anything here, other than the fact that the most basic right of American justice "innocent until proven guilty" has been refused to Trump. Remember, the accused have no burden to prove innocence, it is up to the accuser to prove guilt.
If anything, if this was an actual "fact check", the inability to prove something untrue means that the fact checks out.
This isn't evidence of Trump's honesty. this is evidence of WP's bias and investigative and reporting failures

Why don't you answer me this, how do any of these "lies", even if true, directly affect you? Most of them seem highly imaginary, like Russian collusion, basically if it happened it has left no detectable evidence so clearly it hasn't changed our lives for better or worse in a discernable way. Certainly the economy is better now than it was before Trump, so that is a huge improvement in my life. Trump also seems to have turned back the tide of #metoo which is also a huge relief.
Or perhaps we can ask what things in your life will improve if we replace Trump with a social justice warrior?
I will tell you a few negative impact of the left on your life of the social justice warrior package.
Number 1, you can forget about paying for sex, that is a big no no on the left, exploitation of women and all that. They don't even want you to leave the country to pay for sex in countries where it is legal. #metoo will put you in jail for rape since you coerced a vulnerable woman with money or some other bs.
Number 2, your insurance costs and medical costs go up since you're sharing the burden of paying for women's icky medical problems, abortions, and all that.
Number 3, try to get any business done in a government office staffed with quota fillers.
Number 4, you will lose your job or have to put up with a crappy job when unemployment increases and you pay more for all of your utilities due to new world order cooperation with other countries to flood our markets with cheap products, or to silly environmentalists shutting down companies saving tribal peoples who basically live off welfare, or baby seals etc various animal species that contribute nothing to the economy and probably aren't even endangered, or trying to stop imaginary human climate change. Let Trump kill all the polar bears no polar bear did anything for me, but oil is the power of the USA.
Number 5, you will pay more taxes to school illegal migrant children, provide medical assistance to poor migrants with a lifetime of unsatisfied medical needs, give jobs to migrants, police migrant communities full of gangs and people who don't understand our customs.
Who is being conned? Why are you in such a rush to pay for benefits for women, minorities, and special interest groups who will destroy our hobby? I simply don't see any concrete benefit to you in this, aside from satisfying your dislike for Trump. Why don't you invest your energy in convincing your Democrat representatives that p4p isn't trafficking but simply another form of welfare from proactive citizens to vulnerable communities?

When you get your head out of the sand and stop repeating talking points you may see the light. The right is notorious for restricting sex. The recently passed FOSTA law which killed back page and neutered Craigslist's by forcing them to remove their adult ads was passed by a Republican led house and senate and signed into law by Trump earlier this year. That law also negatively affected ISG so it had to be sold or placed under ownership of someone who is not an American. Other sex sites have closed shops as the law made their owners responsible for the actions of the users. BTW, the ACLU opposes FOSTA, bet you didn't know that. It was Republican President Bush who signed the Anti Trafficking law in 2008 and made it a criminal act for US Forces to engage in "prostitution". The right loves to censor and hate it when people have fun, they are real kill joy when it comes to sex. That you don't know this means its time for you to STFU as you clearly know little of which you speak on these issues.

Most of the women I fuck do it for free. #metoo is the left's idea not the right. Feminazism is all the left. You can get p4p from Tinder, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr. The net effect of #metoo completely exceeds anything from FOSTA, although of course FOSTA is a pain in the ass. It has always been a criminal act for US forces to engage in adultery and break local laws against prostitution and any number of other activities that of course people continued to engage in and were winked at and only held accountable when they pissed off the wrong authority (or now in the #metoo era we're held more accountable due to the leftward shift of people's ideas). It's the witch hunts of the left, such as the lies of Ford against Kavanaugh, that make these laws a problem. You could always avoid legal prosecution for prostitution by not engaging in prostitution, but since #metoo allows any woman to make up a lie about you decades after anything happened, basically you can't even avoid it by becoming celibate, since the accusations are based on lies in any case. All government loves to censor, but the left wants more and more government in more and more areas of our lives, whereas generally the right favors less regulations, slashing bloated budgets, so agencies have to focus on real priorities and not witch hunts.
So I guess you clearly don't know anything :) don't go away angry just go away :).

He gave cuts to his Rich Buddies so they can reinvest in the Country. When does that begin? GM said stuff it to him.I don't need a news article, form a news source that we already established is biased and dishonest, to tell me there are more jobs and more wealth flowing in the country after Trump came in power, I can see it in my bank account. But I own a business. So if you're tired of being a wage slave go out and make your own business then you can cash in on the economic growth in the country. Stop sending all your wages to pay for your social security medicare welfare that is the benefit to owning a company you get your money first before Uncle Sam takes all that off the top. It is pretty obvious you are never getting back that money regardless who is in charge. It's your fault for being a wage slave, failing to structure your income in a smart way, and allowing other people to choose what to do with your money before you get it, not Trump's fault. This is a system that was in place generations before Trump, you're being forced to pay for the benefits that your Democrat representatives hand out to women, minorities, and other special interest groups. Prostitution is rampant in Latin America because its how single moms make money. In America, YOU are forced to pay for single moms, a majority of minority women being single moms, so the Democrats can get their votes. So rather than you paying those women so you can fuck them, you're paying the government so that the government can fuck you!

So bizarre right even though, according to you, the country is in terrible condition, all these illegals still want to come here, so that, according to you, Trump can make them die of thirst. The important question is not why they want to come here, or what hardships they suffer while breaking the law, but how do we benefit from them coming here??? We don't not that I can see, unless you're a Democrat and want their votes, that is the only reason Democrats want to spend welfare dollars on illegals instead of on our own people. The child died because its parents took it in the desert and didn't give it any water. It was a goner before border patrol got it. Parents didn't even tell the BP it was sick. Despite border patrol medvacing the child, the child still died, because the parents' negligence already resulted in an unstoppable deterioration of the child. Due its parent's wanton disregard for the child's safety. They wanted to use it as a human shield to use a loophole in our immigration law. The parents should be arrested for child negligence and deported.
Children are always taken from parents before parents get sent to jail for committing a crime. The children didn't commit a crime, why should they go to jail? Jail simply isn't a fit place for children. You do see the next extrapolation of this idiocy, people will beginning taking their children with them to bank robberies. But oh yeah that is child endangerment. If you take your kid with you on a bank robbery and cops shoot it, YOU are charged with homicide, not the cops. So why do these illegals get a free pass to criminally neglect their children by placing their children in harm's way when they're committing crimes?
He is trying to sell our Country to anyone that will let him put up a Trump Tower.
I think Trump has more towers in the USA than anywhere else so this statement is illogical you're saying he is selling the USA to the USA. And he has towers in every country in the world doesn't he? But then you just said he is making all these harmful tariffs on these other countries? So what are you saying really? He is buying the USA and selling it to the USA (and not tariffing that) then he is selling it to all these other countries, and turning around and tariffing them to death wow my head is just spinning but it seems like the other countries are getting tariffed and we aren't so we're just creating tariff money out of thin air lol well it just can't be true because it is a circular logic. Or I guess it could be a true but meaningless statement. Not sure but it just doesn't seem to jive. Trump was building towers way before he became president obviously it wasn't necessary to be president to do so.

These two links seem to make a vague reference to some Russians telling Trump that Hillary is a lie and a cheat. Trump, like every other American, was already well aware that Hillary is a lie and a cheat. So what exactly was the "collusion"? Was there an illegal act in here somewhere? Is it a crime to be in a room when a boorish Russian repeats well known facts about Hillary's dishonesty? These articles simply don't describe any illegal activity by Trump, and the article clearly says it is only speculation that an activity that isn't even illegal may have taken place. Seems the only illegal activities described in this article were committed by Hillary.

Get Trump elected to help Russia.
Get Trump to divide the American people.
Trump has weakened America diplomatically and economically:
1. Withdrawing the United States from the Paris climate agreement.
2. Abandonment of Trans-Pacific Partnership and the Iran nuclear deal.
3. Make enemies of other countries, by withdrawing our support.
4. Trumps trade policy hasnt delivered the results he promised. Worse, its hurting Americans.
Trumps Immigration Policy Will Hurt All Americans.
Trumps Gentrification Scheme to Enrich Real Estate Developers:
The Treasury certified the last of these zones in June, bringing the total number to 8,700. Now, investors who fund projects in these areas will get sizable tax breakseven on unrelated investments. As long as they dump profits into a fund earmarked for the opportunity zones, they can defer or even eliminate the capital gains they would otherwise have owed.
Now that Amazon has announced its moving one of its two HQ2 branches there, the retail behemoth could nab a $225 million tax break simply because the site happens to fall in one such zonethis, on top of the $1.7 billion New York has already offered Amazon. Investors who purchase apartment buildings for the influx of tech employees will also see tax breaks.
Destroy Our Health Care System.
Trump's Health Care Policies Will Raise Premium Prices for You
Trump Administration Scaled Back FDA Regulations Six Months Before Fatal E. Coli Outbreak
What the Health? Prescription Drug Regulations, the FDA, and Senate Republicans Don't Give a $h!t
These 5 Trump Policies Are Leading Us Toward Economic Chaos:
1. Continuous Banking Deregulation.
2. Tensions Rise in the Auto Wars.
3. The Populist Tyranny of the Trump Tax Cuts.
4. Trade Wars, Currency Wars, and the Conflicts to Come.
5. Fighting the Fed.
15 Ways President Trump Has Hurt the American Worker:
1) Denied guaranteed overtime pay to 12.5 million workers, effectively transferring $1.2 billion from their paychecks to their bosses bank accounts.
2) Proposed a rule allowing companies with less than 250 workers to cease reporting workplace injuries and illness statistics to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and removed a list of Americans killed in workplace accidents from OSHAs home page.
3) Refused to ban a pesticide thats been linked to birth defects in the children of farmworkers, in defiance of EPA scientists advice.
4) Asked the Supreme Court to uphold the right of employers to include forced arbitration clauses in contracts, thereby denying workers the capacity to press complaints against their bosses in open court.
5) Tried to throw millions of working-poor people off of Medicaid, then, once that failed, deliberately engineered a spike in health-insurance premiums, out of sheer spite.
6) Appointed one Supreme Court justice who had ruled that a trucker could be justly fired for abandoning his broken-down vehicle, instead of honoring his contractual obligation to freeze to death with his cargo, and nominated another whod found that San Diego SeaWorld could not be held liable in the death of an employee who was killed by a killer whale. (The former pick ended up producing a landmark decision that gutted funding for public-sector unions, in defiance of decades-old precedent.).
7) Repealed a rule that required retirement advisers to prioritize their clients financial interests over their own (thereby giving investment advisers permission to secretly gamble with aging workers savings).
8) Repealed a rule that had required companies to inspect mines for safety hazards (such as loose pieces of rock that might crumble and fall as they work) before workers began their shifts.
9) Proposed allowing hog-processing plants to run their lines at a speed greater than 1,100 hogs per hour, a move that is all but certain to increase worker injuries.
10) Appointed two attorneys who had made careers representing management in disputes with workers to the National Labor Relations Board. Those appointees proceeded to overturn a series of pro-labor decisions, including ones that had buttressed workers rights to organize unions without their employers unlawful interference; guaranteed the right of unions to bargain over changes in employment conditions; and required parent companies to bargain with unions employed at their franchise locations (that ruling was subsequently thrown out on conflict-of-interest grounds).
11) Passed giant, regressive tax cuts that were written specifically to allow owners of capital to pay lower rates on their passive income than workers do on their hard-earned wages.
12) Canceled a scheduled pay increase for federal workers that would have merely allowed their existing salaries to keep pace with inflation.
13) Reduced oversight of abusive payday lenders and scam colleges.
14) Proposed a rule that would allow restaurant owners to steal their workers tips, and hid a study showing that this could cost waiters and waitresses billions of dollars.
15) Restored the right of serial labor-law violators to compete for government contracts.
He has shut down the Government, putting 800,000 people out of Work.
He has opened the door to Russia to buddy up to Afghanistan, Syria, Iran and Turkey.
Last week he told the troops in Iraq that because they have not had a raise in 10 years he was going to give them a 10% raise.
They have been given raises every year for the last 10 years. His was only 2.6%.
He has lied over 4000 times since he has been in office.
The orange idiot must be going for a record, his rate of lying is growing exponentially. Things are going to get very interesting now that the Dems control Congress and the Oversight Committee can actually start doing its job and bring the corrupt Trump gang to account.
