Trendy, pricey Recoleta Restaurant (right next door to El Sanjuanino, the great Argentine resto with the best empanadas in town) that is very busy and enjoys popularity and good reviews. Elegant setting and classy with top notch ingredients. Service, however, is not very attentive. Many items on the menu were not available, ‘sold out’, and everything is a la carte. Ordered the strip steak, specified in grams, and while of excellent quality and perfectly charred, was not trimmed, apparently at all, as wound up with a pile of fat on the side of my plate, after struggling with the poor lighting to see it all to trim (needed cell phone to read menu). At these prices, per gram, the steak needed to be adequately trimmed. Sides were large portions and well prepared. My dining companion’s fresh fish looked excellent, and got raves, so maybe I need to give it another try. Seating very uncomfortable. Skipped coffee and dessert and went elsewhere.
